Stir the pot

Ignore Christina, (s)he always appears on these types of posts to stir the pot. An anti-female "female".

Waste of keystrokes.

As far as female friendship goes - it ALWAYS is a surprise to the many many women who have close friendships with women that we are supposed to be competing with them - over the male resources!

Usually men are saying that (the ones that want to believe that we are scratchy little kitties), or the type of woman who regards men as a resource.

I try to get out of the way of either type - they truly deserve each other.

there but for the grace of god, go I

@Juliebird

I do think there was a lot of that thinking 40 years ago - maybe even 30. I don't believe this holds as much now - and there are jury stats out there that seem to show women more empathetic.

But that is because rape is spoken about now. And there is such a push to make sure people do not blame the victim. But a few decades ago, it was a whispered about crime, and a rape victim was in a class all by her self.

It was one of those things that if there was reason, if she did not do something that caused it - then it could happen to any woman.

Now - we know it can happen to any woman - so female jurers are not thinking about that (as much) anymore.

Hot and Interested!

Yes - most cinematic and (new) literary male vampyres are drop dead gorgeous and very very interested in the female lead.

That is what women are drawn to!

If vampyres were currently depicted as say, Nosfuratu, hmmm . . . not so much I'd think.

fantasy?

Okay - all this talk about rape 'fantasies' . . . . I can't imagine any one, women especially (since I am one), fantasizing about being raped.

Isn't the fantasy instead, that women fantasize about rape?

Seduction - that is not rape, agreed? Do people talking about the "rape fantasy" actually mean seduction?

As far as vampyres go - I always thought it would be so cool to be one - live forever, never grow old, don't have to work for a living (somehow). Just think of the possibilities! Travel to everywhere you ever dreamed about. Have the time to read, learn to play instruments, learn . . . well, with night school and libraries - learn anything you wanted!

The Hunger is a good "vampyre" movie for adults. With interesting take on aging and sleep.

It's a rule though, all vampyres, male and female, have to be hot. (Exception being Nosfuratu who could have done with a manicure)

Relationships and Attraction Meter

@renegade

You are correct about being in a relationship seems to make a man more attractive.

A man playing with his children seems more attractive too.

A man with female friends - seems more attractive.

As does a man who has a pet and seems to enjoy it.

I think women find men attractive when they are demonstrating an ability to have a connection with other humans or animals. There are SO many men who seem to have little interaction with anything other than other single men who sometimes (not all) seem like a pack of guys just looking to find a girl for regular sex.

Seeing a man having a more personal social connection - he looks attractive to women who are seeking a man for something more than this weeks hookup. The pack of single guys a Ruby Tuesdays grading the waitresses? Hmm, not so much.

all american girl?

How is it that so MANY young women, so many pretty young women, don't take up prostitution then?

Ashley was lazy. And the money was good.

Hope she makes good with her life.

But I hope more that Spitzer's wife and daughter find happiness.

punishment

Actually - think you are on to something! But instead of subjecting humilation to the daughters, sisters and mothers of the cretinous upskirter - I say bring back pubic humiliation!

Put the asshole in docks in the public square - and make sure he is TOTALLY nude. Maybe even ensure his feet are spread apart so all that dangles will be available for viewing and judging. A couple of hours in front of a busy subway station at rush hour - that should be good enough - it will give the commuters a chuckle as a side benefit.
