Rape

MMM - when someone forcibly rams part of their body into yours (or a foreign object into your body) - the rapist has reduced you to merely an orafice.

I don't care if it is male-male, female-female or male-female.

This whole schick that women are taught their vagina is sacred and the essense of their value is insulting to rational people.

When a man forces his penis into a woman's vagina against her will - not only has she had her body integrity violated, but the rapist has reduced her (at the time of the rape) to a mere vagina and spitton for his semen.

Same goes for male on male prison rape.

One of the main differences between being a male or female victim of rape is that when the male victim is with his wife/girlfriend - they don't engage in an act that could have comparison to what happened when he was raped. Women do. And it is what makes recovering from rape difficult - even in a loving relationship.

MMM - your attitudes and words are putrid - I can only hope you are not in any relationship.

tweaked

Yeah - I get seriously tweaked when someone wants to poo-poo rape and the effect is has on the victim. Sorry if my anger offended you, dear.

Awesome!

Letterman is awesome.

I saw him with Limbaugh as a guest years ago and he put poor ole Rush on the spot. Nice. Don't think Rush ever was a quest anywhere else unless totally vetted after that. Hard to be pompous when someone is willing to tell you are naked.

What makes Letterman so wonderful is (1) he knows harm has been done to this country by people who are never called on it and (2) he is very willing to call them on it - and in his uniquely pointed polite humourous way.

Love him.

Bill Maher

I wouldn't exactly call Bill a "liberal".

Libertarian, perhaps, in that he really just wants to do what ever urges him, without government nannies interfering. Clever guy though, and says a lot of interesting and on the mark things.

Wouldn't be caught dead dating him though. Liberal or conservative is unimportant - he seems stuck at 15 when it comes to women.

Love his political-social commentary though.

Palin as Feminist?

There are some women who are vocally "not a feminist", or who are not a feminist when it comes to other women. But for themselves, they are not only willing but feel entitled to all the good things that feminism bought them. You know, they should have "choice", but not those other slutty women. They should be able to have a center of attention job and be a mother, but those other women are just working to pay for their manicures. Stuff like that.

Palin is one of those women. Perhaps Christina is one of those too.

Criticism

Why is it that when women criticize another woman who happens to be attractive, it is immediately assumed the criticism is based on a jealously of how much more "female-ly" the target is?

Isn't that like saying McCain is criticizing Obama because Obama is more "manly" than he?

By reducing all criticism to "jealousy", this constant insinuation is done to try and silence women from making very valid points. Palin accepts the benefits of feminism while deriding it - women who are feminists see that and that is the complaint. She would do harm.

Palin doesn't "drive me crazy". I think she is a very attractive woman, and obviously both charming and enjoying the limelight. I think it appalling that there not only is porn made in her image but that it has been giggled about by Salon writers. I don't agree with her but I don't think she should be sexually demeaned either. Save the ridicule for her hypocrisy and dinosaur statements.

What bothers me about Palin is that she doesn't seem to support a single issue I value. And the prospect of her ending up as Pres after McCain kicks it, is both real and horrific. What would she do? Pull back in Cheney and crew? She doesn't seem to be qualified to be a VP. Choosing her given her lack - that "drives me crazy"

What bothers me about her supporters is that they seem to present her attractiveness as one of the main reasons she is a great choice. Thus confirming the idea that a woman's main value is in whether you would "do" her or not.

Oh, and Bennett - a fat sow of a hypocrite. Moral relativism at its highest. And I assure you, my criticism of him is not because he is more attractive!

college

Besides, going to college is for elitists, right?

Kind of rings false to me.

So - about the "B" - are the police looking for a dislexic perp?
