Age, Palin and the Boyz

Palin's comment about listening to Biden while she was in 2nd grade. . . . I am sure we all know she most likely listened to no political speech while in grade 2 - maybe a snipet on the news when her parents were watching? But a speech from Biden? And she remembered listening to him? Come on.

Okay - let it be an exaggeration to make a point.

Was the point Palin was trying to make that Biden was old? McCain is older.

Was the point Palin was trying to make that Biden has been in the national government for ever? Only 10 years longer than McCain.

What was the point she was trying to make? And why did no one call her on it.

The woman is a rediculous choice. McCain should have chosen Tina Fey.

feeling sorry

The only ones I feel sorry for are her childdren, who Palin has no problem using for her furtherment.

Oh, and I feel sorry for all the qualified conservative republican women, who were overlooked to find this fresh piece of moose dung from Alaska.

And the American people - yeah, I feel sorry for the Americans who feel pain at the de-evolution of our country - but we are used to it having endured increasing levels of disaster over the last 8 years.

taxes and who pays

I find it amazing the number of "conservatives" who decry taxation, but have not a worry in their head who (or how) the Iraq is going to be paid.

It would be interesting to see what the actual taxes paid are, comparing democrats vs republicans, and then look how much each group takes in services.

Oh, wait! Didn't they do that already? Showed that "red" states took more in fed funds than gave in fed taxes? And the reverse in the "blue" states.

Don't want taxes? Get off the f*cking roads.

And be Asian!

Why is this gold digger news worthy? She is, what, wife number 1+n of some rich Euro?

I don't understand the proliferation of these reality and soapy shows that seem to present the stereotypes of women.

Is it reassuring in our time of turmoil?

Not the most loathed!

BS! - Palin is not near as loathed as Bush.

When Bush was running he seemed SO unqualified but I figured Americans like their fellows dumb and he'll probably have Daddy's men running things and the country could probably muddle through 4 years with out real destruction.

Then 911 happened and Cheney and his PNAC buddies were able to implement some of their dearly loved scenarios.

Palin is, if anything, LESS qualified than Bush, and there is a good chance McCain might not make 4 let alone 8 years and we will be stuck with Palin as Pres.

Having an incompentant in charge during the aftermath of 911 plunged this country into a downward spiral that we can't see the bottom of yet.

What will having a Palin do?

She is vilified not only because it is an affront to any competant person and especially competant women to be nominated, but also out of fear of what she could do to the country if she gets the chance.

karma and all that shit

I think the "countess" is the latest of a string of former wives. My guess would be is that the "count" wants something young and lovely and accommendating and . . . replaceable when the time comes.

The current "countess" has little going for her other than as perfessional "companion" and this inane "reality" show.

I would classify the countess as a . . . "woman"

sarcasm

I was using so many "quotes" around labels this woman was using and I doubted were real - guess I got carried away.

I no more consider her the same class as msot women I know (or me) than I would any other smug golddigger. They are their own little sub-species.

choice!

When will someone (anyone) call people out when they make these "made a choice to be gay" statements?

I for one, would like to know at what age Palin was when she decided to be heterosexual. Was she 4? Was she 11? Was it when she got pregnant and had to get hitched?

Oh - on hunting? Shooting wolves from helicoptors is not "providing" for the family. For a lot of people hunting is entertaining. Not my idea of it, but a lot of people enjoy the hunting down and killing. Not a one likes to admit it though. They hide it under "tradition" and "providing" and "strengthening the herd".

I am glad she is saying she is a "feminist" - if only for the thought that Limbaugh, Dobson, Falwell, Coulter, et al, are getting behind a "feminist". And it must be giving Dobson heart tremours to think he has to support a (by choice) working mother!

eye of the beholder?

Perhaps the solution is to blind and deafen the uber religious men, who seem to believe that women put lust in their heart via magic.

Islam is not the only religion that depends on the dress of women to demonstrate their 'dedication', but it is the one most loudly doing so.

I always want to ask . . . if men are so powerless in the company of women, perhaps it is men that need to be closeted behind the home compound walls - let the women run the country.

I am sure they will fail as well as any man, but I don't think as much money will be squandered on gambling, drinking, porn and Philipino maids.

patriotism and taxes

When her son is in Iraq, who does she think is paying his wages?

Who does she think will pay if he is injured, minor or major.

Who does she think is paying for that damned war?

Who paid for the education her kids got and are getting, and never mind the fact that the older two seem not to value.

The woman is an idiot - but there are hordes of them out there in America - and she wants to be Queen of the Hyenas.
