Have you learned to translate White House speak yet?
[Read the article: The real story on Gonzales' departure?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]If Bush's handlers are saying Gonzales was forced out, then the opposite must be true. While I belive Gonzales was never smart enough to do anything other than what he was told to do by Rove, I think he probably finally had enough.
This guy is so stupid and cowardly, I have to believe the administration is shitting their drawers about what this idiot might say.
They are setting up the cover story that anything he might say is due to him being canned. A scorned ex-employee.

Hey Mathilda,
[Read the article: Craig: The press made me plead guilty]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS! Senator Craig's mission statement on his website says "I believe in the constitutional principles of limited federal government, free enterprise, private property and individual liberty and responsibility. I will defend these principles on behalf of the citizens of the state of Idaho, the West and the Nation."
Does this sound like someone willing to plead guilty to a crime he didn't commit?
I live in Minneapolis and go to the airport often. Do you know why the police were hanging around that bathroom? It is because people were complaining about boldly being solicited for sex as well as complaints of having to witnesoms others having sex in the stalls. This IS lewd conduct, regardless if whether it is hetero or homosexual.
This guy is a scumbag, and a liar to boot.

Elephantman is Awesome!! Totally Entertaining!
[Read the article: Larry Craig's bathroom behavior and the right wing -- then and now]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]It is so hilarious and entertaining when Republicans run around excusing the massive corruption in their party by saying, "but Clinton did it."
Now they're taking it to another totally awesome level. Whenever something has gone wrong with Republicans lately, I notice they are starting to say- in reference to HILLARY Clinton- "IF Clinton were to do it...." or "IF we were to FIND OUT Clinton did it."
I have no other words to describe these people. You have to admit; they are totally awesome. They are way more awesome than that personality cult from Jonestown.

Senators Graham and McConnell are Gay??!!!
[Read the article: Larry Craig's bathroom behavior and the right wing -- then and now]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Geez Louise! What's going to happen next? I suppose someone is going to try to tell me the earth is round!

I suppose....
[Read the article: Ohio congressman found dead in Washington]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]the Clinton's had him killed. What did he ever do to them?

Cross1242
[Read the article: National Review's new tough guy, Mark Hemingway]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Glenn is fighting absurdity with absurdity. He is engaging them in their own language. The only language they understand.
Haven't you ever seen Glenn try to fight absurdity with logic? He does a very good job of it when he is making a point that logical people might care to understand. But there is one problem with it; the subject he is contradicting bears no logic. As you can tell from the resident Righties' responses in these forums, they go off topic and/or create a straw man arguement from which to debate.
In this example, where he is engaging someone directly, he is debating them on THEIR terms. Get it?
By the way- I am so looking forward to Hemingway's masculine response.

Hey Anonymous- I piss on Bush's military service
[Read the article: National Review's new tough guy, Mark Hemingway]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]As a volunteer who served combat duty, I spit on George Bush's phoney service that he couldn't even complete.
For YOU to glorify his bullshit service is to denigrate those who really serve.

Hornet Driver
[Read the article: National Review's new tough guy, Mark Hemingway]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]You're the typical Republican tough guy talking shit over the internet. I would bet 10:1 that pansy ass Glenn could kick your doughy ass six ways from Sunday.
By the way, how many wars did we lose during Clinton's presidency? How many troops lost? How many countries were in the coalition during Clinton's "wars"? How much did we spend on said wars? And my last question, how many of Bush's wars did you volunteer to fight?
-
Hornet Driver
[Read the article: National Review's new tough guy, Mark Hemingway]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]So behind your rationale, the first war Bush lost was on September 11, 201 correct?
Come to think of it, you shouldn't spend your energy fighting Americans, even if they are Democrats. When do you go back to Iraq to do some more fighting against the terrorists that hate our freedom?
-
Groenhagen Worships John Kerry
[Read the article: Don't believe the surge hype]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]If you think Joe Conason lacks credibility because he didn't serve in Vietnam, then you must have been a HUGE John Kerry supporter when he opposed George W. Bush.
Kerry volunteered and served MULTIPLE tours of combat duty in Iraq. Oddly enough, Kerry's views of the "surge" are right in line with Joe Conasons. Are you attacking the message or just the messanger here?
And while we are on the topic; in regard to your credibility, how many tours in a combat zone did YOU volunteer for? I spent two tours over in the sandbox myself.

Groenhagen Hates The Troops
[Read the article: Don't believe the surge hype]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I SAID KERRY SERVED MULTIPLE TOURS IN IRAQ, SO HOW DARE YOU CONTRADICT ME!!!!
I SERVED MULTIPLE TOURS IN THE WAR AGAINST IRAQ. HOW DARE YOU CONTRADICT THE TROOPS!! WHAT IN GOD'S NAME IS WRONG WITH YOU? YOU ARE A TRAITOR TO AMERICA!!! YOU SHOULD BE SHIPPED TO GITMO YOU SCUMBAG!!!
PS - I meant to say that Kerry servred multiple tours in VIETNAM, but that is beside the point. I am a soldier, and according to your own rules, my statements should go unquestioned. So I don't want to hear anymore of your crap!!!
Got it, genius?

thorin01 Buys the Fake Outrage Hook, Line, and Sinker
[Read the article: Covering the coverage: Conservative blogs on the Petraeus/Crocker hearing]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]thorin01, what you are essentially saying is that the fake Republican outrage to this add resonates with you. They've attempted to create an environment where questioning Patreus is beyond reproach, and you bought it. They need to create an environment where questioning him is unpatriotic, because the answers to the questions he needs to be asked are real hard to answer...if forced to answer truthfully.
If these were easy questions to answer, such a campaign wouldn't be necessary. It is VERY easy to demonstrate what success and victory looks like, and this aint it.
This is absolutley the same method the Nazis used. And yes, I am comparing Republicans to Nazis. You know why? Because they are acting like them.
Would it have been unpatriotic of German citizens to question the military and government leaders of the '30s and '40s? Of course not. And it shouldn't be now. They are an example of what happens when citizens (and media) don't ask the tough- not to mention obvious- questions.
