My first reaction to the Beauty Queens was, of course, repulsiveness for being the all-american, beautiful queen-bee girls we all hated in high school. But the more I watched them, the more I saw how they really were the team having the most fun! They seem to know and appreciate eachother in every situation. And they actually laughed at Eric's "Ladies and Gentlemen, Miss California" post-vomit joke. They have become my favorite heterosexual love story. Of course, I probably would hate them in real life, but I envy the relationship they have.

Didn't the ducks represent Tony's fear of losing his family? And hasn't he spent the entire series in therapy because of that? How appropriate then that this should actually occur. Tony, Christopher, Paulie - everyone ends up in jail and Caermela and her worthless brood are destroyed and left with nothing except the knowledge that they've all seen it coming for a very long time.

It is not clear to me if this is an issue just within the U.S. Is Canada also experiencing this? What about other continents?

Also, how many people would give up their cell phones to save the planet?

I just finished reading the Vanity Fair article. Gandolfini wants to move on. Playing Tony is not in his future.

The diappearing middle class has had enough of the rich getting richer. This is the beginning of the revolution. If the french had the internet 200 years ago we would see it beginning the same way.

Also, may I just say that all Paris has is money, where as the rest of us poor slobs at least have a high-school education, are functionally literate and can overcome adversity for the most part. I'd take life skills over money anytime.

How wonderful that this child is already focusing on her career at ten years of age! My ten-year-old nephew just wants to ride his bike and play with his friends after scholl! He enjoys math so I have been insisting that he do my taxes and help me reallocate my retirement funds. However, he is not focused and keeps looking out the window. I feel he is not being serious about his future potential.

Thanks for getting my ass in gear, futhark. I just sent an email to my congressman, and suggest others do the same. No action will be taken to impeach Cheney unless we tell Congress they must do so for the good of our nation.

I am currently reading a book about the Dahli Lama and am fascinated by the way a healthy mind can influence a healthy body. I immediately thought about Cheney, his numerous heart problems and the correlation with his incredibly selfish and heartless actions. His heart has ceased to function and only a pacemaker keeps it beating. He does not understand that the evil you do to others you also do to yourself. I believe he gets what he's got coming to him when he wakes up each and every morning. This is not a man who enjoys his life, and that's enough for me!

She's so excited to be in this wedding! It's a big deal for her and I think you need to be there to watch her take part in a big ceremony like this. She needs you there to watch her and make her feel proud of herself. I think to not go would make her sad. It'd be like not attending her graduation. It sounds like you're not going as a form of protest. What matters more? Your principles or your daughter? Lighten up and have fun with your kid!

Can I have the crystal cake plate back that I gave you for your wedding? I'm so sick of people who get married when there is no real sense of what marriage really entails. There's nothing wrong with staying single unless you need someone to support you financially. It doesn't sound like you do. Now get divorced and buy some condoms and have a field day. I'm from Detroit and I do not work in the auto industry. No one in my family works in the auto industry. In fact, I don't know anyone who work for the auto industry. The tired cliches that politicians use when referring to everyone in Michigan as being union laborers and catering to unions leaves me out in the cold. There's a lot more to Michigan. You'd think being a "Native Son" he'd know that. The auto industry in part of our past and it's not our future. The Motor City is dead.

It seems to me that teenage pregnancy is a learned behavior. I'm willing to bet that these girls were born to teenage mothers themselves and see it as the norm. Have a baby at 16, just like your mom did. These girls never had a chance. And the grandparents will bear the responsibility of raising these kids and the cycle will continue.

I remembered the day when this happened 10 years ago. I made a huge effort to ignore the media reporting of it as best I could. Because, as with most grand tragedies the media picks up on, I knew that most of the reports were based on rumors and speculation. I think it took 2 years until I even knew the full names of the killers - names that were legendary at that point. So it's not until 10 years later that I can read about the true facts of the incident without the "shock entertainment" that we find so appealing. You bet these kids knew the media would make them famous. Their efforts were rewarded. Sick.
