Try again.

If I vote, I will probably vote for Obama. But it's July, and as of now, I would say Obama is the least impresssive Dem Presidential candidate since Mondale.

He gives good speech, but that'll wear thin once the GOP narrative starts to kick-in after Labor Day.

Obama hasn't said or done anything since winning the nomination that should please REAL Democrats.

I get it already: Hope. Change.

Obama's stance on FISA and telecom immunity is indefensible, cynical and dishonest. As Glenn has pointed out daily, this bill in essence officially eliminates the Fourth Amendment. ANY POLITICIAN that votes for it, especially when he should know better (i.e. Obama) doesn't deserve fawning, adulation from ANYONE.

Gosh.

I wonder how they survive in those European and South American countries where there are 3, 4 or 5 major parties to choose from.

Only the modern Democratic Party can, with a collective straight face, blame Nader in part for the disaster of the past eight years.

Sadly a large part of the rank and file Dems have bought the lame, Carville generated narrative regarding 2000.

Please, if Obama ran as a progressive (on the war, the economy and the Constitution) he Would win 38-40 states without working up a sweat.

He Would get more than 55-percent of the popular vote and the Congressional Dems Would pick up 35-38 seats in the House and 6-8 seats in the Senate.

Let's face it, he's running against a guy who couldn't get elected as the President of most Leisure Villages.

But it won't happen that way and you know it.

The Dems will pick up 3 seats in the Senate, 15 in the Congress (including some Bush Dogs) and Rahm Emmanuel, Pelosi and Reid will be hailed by the chatterers as political masterminds.

And in the Presidential race, everyone will be waiting on election night to see how Ohio, Pa., Michigan and Fla. will vote.

Matthews, Gergen and Williams will be paying homage to what a great Democracy we have because people are waiting 2-3 hours to vote in Cleveland, Dade County and Detroit and that turnout is over "50" percent.

Nader should be irrelevant this year. But the Alterman wing, the academic capitulators, - ya' know "The-Howard Dean-Can't-win wing of the party''- will blame Nader and Naderites if for some chance Obama loses. Even if he gets just 250,000 votes nationwide.

And right now it's only a 50-50 bet that Obama wins- Nader or no Nader - which is disgraceful in itself.

Plisko

Agree with you completely.

I'll pay attention to the local and county races. As for Obama v. McCain- Give me a call when it's over and let me know who won.

I won't vote for either one of these fascist phonies.

Screw 'em both.

A vote against the Constitution is a big FU to the American public.

Names? Okay - here are some names.

Click on to the Huffington Post right now - the largest news website on the internets - and find a story on Obama and FISA. Trust me it'll take some effort and you'll have to wade through the Jamie Lynn Spears & Cynthia Rodriguez stories.

Check out Rachel Maddow last night on Countdown, continuing to try and peddle the Olberman-Dean dream that Obama might try and prosecute after he is elected Prez fairy tale (Thankfully, Turley dismissed that out of hand).

How about the cadre of Obama Lemmings rationalizing away over there in Kosistan?

Then there is Lanny Davis' tripe today in the WSJ or Nancy Whatshername debating Glenn on the radio this morning. Dem consultant superior Bob Beckel on Faux News every 10 mins.

Not to mention the Dems in Congress who have been screaming about Bush's felonies for years - Reid (Oh he is voting NO today - Big Help!) Pelosi, Emanuel (especially Emanuel) Claire McCaskill, Stony Hoyer, etc. etc. etc.

Say What about Obama?

But I thought he was a different kind of politician. The "Change" candidate et al.

Boy, I guess he fooled everyone. Who'da thunk?

Enough about this 4th Amendment stuff, now let's get ready to invade those evil-doers in Iran. Right Mr. Obama?

Tone Death at DailyKos

Obama Worship Headquarters is right on top of the FISA travesty.

There is a post up right now ridiculing Jesse Ventura's announced run for the Senate.

There is wall-to-wall horserace coverage of House & Senate races.

Judging by the tone, the Dems should pick up about 80 seats in Nov.

About 12 stories ridiculing McCain's campaign - yet he only trails ObamaGod by 3-6 points in the polls. Can't figure that one out.

Dave Chapelle is coming to New York.

Oh, and Mark Penn and Karen Hughes (surprise, surprise) have gone into business together.

McJoan wrote a great piece on FISA - posted at 9:13 a.m. PDT. Still waiting for a follow from any of the Kos All-Stars
