  • bury me cheaply

[Read the article: I should have gone to my aunt's funeral]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

funerals are for the living, because the dead are beyond caring. having attended far too many funerals, i can assure you that whatever your aunt looked like in life, she does not look like in death.

banish your guilt as it has no place in your memory of her. see her there, as she lived, not in a coffin, or being lowered in the ground.

life is brief, concern yourself with living, and the living - not with useless self berating.

  • sometimes a cigar

[Read the article: I hit my sister in the head with my purse when I drink]

is just that. before the LW hurries off to AA, perhaps she should consider that what "drives" her to drink is her lousy relationship with her family/husband. sure, lay off the booze (or at least moderate consumption) until she gets some resolution there. if those issues are, if not resolved, at least confronted it's possible that the urge to drink may lessen.

  • what if i refer to it

[Read the article: The BlackBerry Bold: The prettiest, Webbiest Berry ever]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

as my frankenberry? will you continue to take this too seriously and delete me then?

  • it's like trying to teach a pig to sing

[Read the article: My boyfriend has an abysmal environmental conscience]

it's a waste of time and it annoys the pig.

move on. 5 years invested? look up sunk cost.

  • run

[Read the article: My fiancé suddenly joined the Marines]

run like the wind. he is never going to be stable. medication, blah blah, yes, it can help with those who want help but your bf/fiancee/whatever doesn't want it. and he doesn't want you. bipolar people tend to be very attractive in a lot of ways, particularly emotional. they're very good at finding what you need from them and then delivering in the most manipulative manner possible.

if you don't make yourself scarce, you will ultimately end up blaming yourself for his failings.

or not. perhaps this is what you need as well. if so, enjoy.
