Old news?
[Read the article: Maybe he really is "the commander guy"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Reports of Bush's instability are hardly anything new. And they still get almost no attention:
Has Bush Lost His Reason?
The President's Apparent Mental Fragility Should Give US Voters Pause for Thought at the Ballot Box
A senior Republican, experienced and wise in the ways of Washington, told me last Friday that he does not necessarily accept that Bush is unstable, but what is clear, he added, is that he is now manifestly unfit to be President.
This, too, is a view that is widely felt, but seldom articulated and then only in private, within the Republican as well as Democratic establishments in Washington. Either way, the choice voters make on Tuesday fortnight should be obvious: whether he is unstable or merely unfit to be President - and I would argue that they amount to much the same - he should speedily be turfed out of office.

Bush's obscene tirades rattle White House aides
While President George W. Bush travels around the country in a last-ditch effort to sell his Iraq war, White House aides scramble frantically behind the scenes to hide the dark mood of an increasingly angry leader who unleashes obscenity-filled outbursts at anyone who dares disagree with him. "I’m not meeting again with that goddamned bitch," Bush screamed at aides who suggested he meet again with Cindy Sheehan, the war-protesting mother whose son died in Iraq. "She can go to hell as far as I'm concerned!"
Bush flashes the bird, something aides say he does often and has been doing since his days as governor of Texas. Bush, administration aides confide, frequently explodes into tirades over those who protest the war, calling them "motherfcking traitors."
"Who gives a flying f.k what the polls say," he screamed
at a recent strategy meeting. "I'm the President and I'll do whatever I goddamned please. They don’t know sh!t." Bush’s behavior, according to prominent Washington psychiatrist, Dr. Justin Frank, author of "Bush on the Couch: Inside the Mind of the President," is all too typical of an alcohol-abusing bully who is ruled by fear.

Bush has in fact never been fit for office, and is hardly improving with time.

Torture is for torturers.
[Read the article: The military's interrogation secrets]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Pol Pot had people tortured.
The Nazis had people tortured.
Stalin had people tortured.
Bush has people tortured.
Does anybody see a pattern here?

Get back to us when you have facts.

You need to get yer facts straight there, neocon. The problems the Branch Davidians had with the law went back years before they murdered federal agents in cold blood. And such problems they had were of their own making.
Koreshites aren't exactly the innocent victims you right-wingers like to make them out to be.

By the way. If you're going to be defending vicious mind-control cults, we're bound to get the wrong idea about you.

Winning?
[Read the article: Maybe he really is "the commander guy"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]"You sneer at me for wrongful voting. Guess who was on the winning side. How smart can you be when defeated by morons like me?"
-- Tyler_Mason
What does it say about you when you can't win without cheating?
Cheating. You know. Catapulting the propaganda, rigged voting machines, disenfranchising voters who might 'vote the wrong way', so on and so forth. The list is very extensive, and GAO reports confirm it all in spades.
Victory is sweet, isn't it? Too bad you haven't won anything.

Leaking.

Characteristic right-wing propaganda point. You're full of it, so it always leaks out eventually. That's how we know you.
"NEOCON!"
-- Tyler_Mason
Hit a nerve? Or blow your cover? And no, I wasn't impressed with your claim to have 'voted for Nader'. In view of your other posts, it just appeared to be a typical right-wing poser ploy to obtain some undeserved credibility. Seen lots it on the NYT forums.

Torture is for torturers, Part the Second.
[Read the article: The military's interrogation secrets]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]"We shouldn't advertise to the world our interrogation techniques."
-- Mikes Pace
Bush would much prefer that it be a surprise.
Besides, if Bush's future victims were forewarned, they might try to avoid becoming victims in the first place. For some people that just wouldn't be any fun at all.
By the way. Do they ask any actual questions during these 'interrogation' sessions?
"Torture has never been a reliable means of extracting information. It is ultimately self-defeating as a means of control. One wonders why it is still practiced."
Entertainment value, apparently.

Nope.
[Read the article: Inside the Creation Museum]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The Religious Right and other fundies are fighting an uphill battle here. They're at an extreme disadvantage and will eventually lose for exactly one reason:
The facts are against them. They are, in fact, wrong.
Ultimately there is no way they can hope to overcome such a disadvantage. The Catholic Church could not, and they had centuries to fight these battles, which were all eventually lost.
Reason is their enemy, however they try to co-opt it. But they cannot win against it. The best they can do is to lie, as loud as they can. And lying in the service of religion is blasphemy.
"Reason must be deluded, blinded, and destroyed. Faith must trample underfoot all reason, sense, and understanding, and whatever it sees must be put out of sight and ... know nothing but the word of God."
- Martin Luther
