  • Trolls and drive-by insults

Are you kidding? Compared to the old NYT political forums, Salon is tame.

I haven't gotten a single death threat here, and the right-wingers here don't seem to feel free enough to promise to exterminate Democrats and anybody else who gets in the way of the Bush Regime.

You'd be amazed at the things that have been posted just on the Krugman forum, much less the dreaded Maureen Dowd forum:

"It's a heads up that you've come to the attention of some people who have a lot to lose.

    "I've said to much already."

Religion is a tool to control the masses. We of the state can use it to our own ends. We are legion.

The pain of the left is the icing on the cake.

I am fully in agreement that they will be tracked down and intimidated or destroyed. That was the word that came down.

Whether that is "right" or not is a different question. I do not worry about that aspect.

Honestly, guys, count your blessings. I expected the Radical Right to roaming the streets with Bush's tanks by now, looking for librul victims.

  • Proving a point.

Calling them misogynists and rapists and wife abusers and trolls just confirms their point and the points of others here that Salon's readers are not as open minded as we would like to think, and that we do insist on and enforce a uniformity of thought and opinion.

    Oh really?

    Who are you, Anonymous?

  • Cheney, minion of darkness.

[Read the article: Run, Dick, run]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Is the Unitary Executive himself mulling a run?

I hope to God not, and I'm an atheist.

With enough brainwashed conservative voters and rigged voting machines you can do anything, and he's got the Great Right-Wing Noise Machine bought and paid for besides. Don't be surprised if he still manages Great Media Support to win even though his ratings are in the teens.

You don't just write off an Ultimate Corporatist like Cheney, no matter how deeply he's been exposed as a greedy militaristic con man.
