Deviant Republican sexual behavior keeps happening despite advocacy of Puritanical moralism because (1) conservatives are sexually repressed, (2) conservatives typically fail to develop a proper social sense and empathy towards others, and (3) harsh moralism plays well politically with other conservatives with the same personal deficiencies.

Naturally, this leads to the repeats of the gross hypocrisies we see in the Vitter case, and those hypocrises extend to other issues besides sex. For example, conservatives are also very loud about 'patriotism' while gutting the country. And they never see it because the instinct for self-preservation prevents them from recognizing that they're the bad guy: remember always that the villain almost never sees himself as a villain.

Sexual self-repression is very often self-defeating. Personal sexuality will tend to express itself despite repression, but repression also tends to cause that expression to be aberrant. This is why homosexuals who are more liberal and have accepted their homosexuality are rarely child molesters, while those who are conservative deny it and repress it, which evolves into a sexual obsession with sexless children - and worse.

It is no accident that the great majority of persons involved with prostitution, child molestation, exhibitionism, forcible rape, incest, BSDM, bestiality, necrophilia, and so forth are conservatives. It explains what Bush is doing to Iraq as well.

You might be amazed to know just how many extreme conservatives are sexual deviants. I am acquainted with prostitutes who service only Catholic clergymen, and perform only oral sex because it is normal intercourse that is considered to be the perversion and that other forms are sex are instead considered to be more 'normal'. Think about that the next time you go to a priest for 'marital advice': he might just perceive you as a pervert. And convent lesbianism has been a well-kept secret for centuries.

*Republican anti-abortion activist Nicholas Morency pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography on his computer and offering a bounty to anybody who murders an abortion doctor.

*Republican legislator Edison Misla Aldarondo was sentenced to 10 years in prison for raping his daughter between the ages of 9 and 17.

*Republican Mayor Philip Giordano is serving a 37-year sentence in federal prison for sexually abusing 8- and 10-year old girls.

*Republican racist pedophile and United States Senator Strom Thurmond had sex with a 15-year old black girl which produced a child.

*Republican pastor Mike Hintz, whom George W. Bush commended during the 2004 presidential campaign, surrendered to police after admitting to a sexual affair with a female juvenile.

*Republican advertising consultant Carey Lee Cramer was charged with molesting his 9-year old step-daughter after including her in an anti-Gore television commercial.

*Republican activist Lawrence E. King, Jr. organized child sex parties at the White House during the 1980s.
