There are so many problems with this story...where do I start?

(1) Hunting by caravan...This is the first time I have ever heard of anyone hunting by car. Where is the sport in that?

(2) Where were the bird dogs? Everytime in my life that I have ever gone bird hunting a bird dog has been at my side, how in the hell were they retrieving the birds?

(3) Where is the sport of shooting pen raised prey? On some of these freaking farms they actually clip the birds wings to limit their flight. Where is the sport in that ?

(4) How about basic gun safety? When you pull the trigger it is your job to know what is going on to your sides and in front of you.

(5) Unless the victim was standing on top of the VP the only way he shoots him in the face is if he is aiming awfully low, which is an indication the VP was cherry-picking the birds. Not even giving them a chance to get free of the cages and brush. I might be wrong but I doubt it from what has been reported.

As a lefty-pinko who has shot birds of all kind, deer and wild-pig the Vice President's lack of common sense, a sporting heart and lack of respect for basic gun safety on Saturday is for me the real story here. I mean where is the NRA, he should be screamed at anyone who respects the wilds and the sport of hunting.

As someone who loves hunting I am pi$$ed that this pretend outdoors man and his petite and elite friends would go out and shame the sport.

What a guy.

Wonderful point Wworstell

These pretend tough guys run around (I am sorry) drive around in the woods shooting at pen raised birds.

They are such $hitty sportsmen that they consider this sport.

What in the hell is sporting about it?

Join the rest of the great unwashed in the woods or on a duck blind and shoot birds that have a fighting chance to escape.

The folks who defend this crap have never hunted in their lives. I hate PETA but they are right about these dude-ranches where make believe tough guys go out and shoot at daffy-duck and bambi.

Do you think these guys would have a fighting chance with 500 pounds razorback bearing down on them if it wasn't on a really short leash?

Hunter my a$$.

Interviews should of occured immediately after the shooting ....

How he was allowed to clean up, sleep and sort through stories for 12 hours is amazing to me.

No one else would have been given such an enourmous amount of latitude.

This whole thing stinks from the head.

Joan don't hold your breath.

I expect nothing of these people. They are so insulated from the real world that they don't even see the obvious dilemma with the meeting or the "dead line" the Republican caucus has set.

The DC Press marries these people. They date these people. They hang out and go on vacation with these people.

Maybe the worse thing that ever happened is Woodward and Carl Bernstein becoming rock stars after Watergate. It changed, oddly, how reporters and the people they cover interact. Then throw television journalism's lack of standards and the massive consolidation of the media and you are left with a corporate media with no spine or bite.

I watched the film Network on Friday night, and it is astounding how prophetic that movie was.

Original article: "The Sopranos" goes dark

This Series has from the beginning been a Giant F--- you from Chase.

I think from the beginning Chase wnated to show us how silly we are.

How we can hate teenage mothers on welfare but idolize a lowlife like Tonu Soprano.

I think he choose a mob boss because of the phony code of ethics these crooks claim to follow.

Tony is a typical American he simply cares about the now and how he can get as much from the now as possible.

Tony Soprano cares about one person. Tony Soprano and his walk through the moral quagmire has been easy one for him because he still has fame, fortune and all the pussy he wants at the end of it.

F --- everyone he has used and abused. In an odd way the one person who he cared about was Dr. Melfi who he spent every visit trying to convince that his behavior was not his fault.

He even turned the real pain and suffering of his son into something he could use to convince her that he was not responsible for his actions.

What amazes me is how many Americans could sympathize with a man like this and his coherts, family, friends and lackeys but cannot summon the same compassion for the homeless guy sleeping on the heating grate they pass everyday or innocent dead Iraqi babies.

From the Soprano websites that have poped up with pretend and want to be wise guys commenting on the authenticity of Chase's characters and plts I have had a great time watching him ma nipulate everyone.

It has a wonderful mirror turned back on the the American people. Tony is a thug. I thought the best moment on the show was when Tony had the sit down with the gangster rappers, the contrast was striking.
