with great power must also come great responsibility

im having a hard time swallowing this train of thought im seeing after reading all these posts...im watching woman after woman say things like "after what they did to poor hillary.." and "i wont vote for the eeeviiiil men democrats" etc. etc. and i dont mean to sound like some penis nazi or anything but do u think the women who suffered and pushed thru obstacle after obstacle for womens suffrage, the right to vote ,the right to choose and every other right women still struggle every day to hold onto would be proud of the way modern women are reacting in our society by basically saying "well u didnt elect hillary to run for POTUS so im gonna whine and cry and stamp my feet like a 3 year old and vote for mccain and hand our country over to what basically represents all that is corrupt and evil in society (i.e republicans) just because i didnt get my way" because that kind of attitude make sme a little ashamed of them... im sure susan b anthony would be appalled at that kind of logic...yes hillary missed her shot...THIS TIME...but to throw every american man woman and child to the wolves out of sheer pertulance is just ...well...silly...the forerunners of womens rights didnt stomp their feet and cry and give up...they fought for a better world for their duaghters...no matter what life threw at then...they understood that resposibility lies in overcoming obstacles...not wallowing in self pity when things get tough...and please ladies...dont allow yourselves to be fooled by palin...if u cast your vote for mccain/palin simply because shes a woman without considering her archaic stand on ALL the issues...then u are every bit as stupid and naive and gullible as mccains handlers believe...and i for one dont believe that to be the case :) (sorry for typos etc. im half awake )

exactly my point...

...the republicans are feircely anti womens rights so all the disgruntled women switching sides or throwing away their vote in protest are playing right into mccains hands :(

@klytus

hey man just tie a leather strap around yer waist and attach it to a pipe and no harm can befall u in a giangantor storm, right? (hey it worked for bill paxton in twister and as we all know movies never lie) :P...but in all seriousness keep yer wits about u and stay safe...off subject did anyone else see the bit on michaelmoore.com? that palins "o so special" baby is actually her grand kid and she has sunk to an even lower low than simply exploiting HER kid to butter up the far rights ultra conservative psychos...does she make anyone else wanna spew on thier kicks? or is it just me?

jesus tapdancing crispy christ...

lest we forget...

...this election is gonna go just like 2000 and 2004...all the scandals and pregnant teens and lies and corruption and every other damn thing wont matter one bit in the end...shill out the money... hijack some republican owned and operated electronic votes and poof!!: bush 3.0 magically "wins" by an o so narrow margine...sigh

Tuesday, September 2, 2008 05:05 AM

if u write in clintons name...

your not saying jack shit except "i wanna help mccain"

Tuesday, September 2, 2008 05:12 AM

and another thing...

i know im gonna get hated on for saying this but im getting sick of people chanting "hillary hillary hillary" yeah she has some perks ...but she also voted with bush to invade iraq...barry had that over on her... hence his nomination

...

apparently the inbred bible thumping hicks in my state wanna hand this election to mcain(hes up 10 points here atm) ...im so ashamed of the poor ignorant fools who live here

Wednesday, September 3, 2008 08:32 PM

what always makes me laugh...

is that the republicans wanna label palin as a maverick because she "took on all those nasty disgusting corrupt republicans"....kinda ironic selling her to the public by trashing their own party no?

Friday, September 5, 2008 01:49 AM

i still say none of it matters...

the pubs will narrow the obama margine until november then "magically" win at the last second by a slim percentage in one swing state they have hijacked electronic ballots in and poof ...bush 3.0/the antichrist (intellectually speaking) win.... s.s.d.d...they did it in 2000 in fl and again in 2004 in ohio( and funnily enough when the final tally in florida was actually over bush DID lose after all )...wonder which state it will be this time...any thoughts? i wish it was as simple as the poeple vote and dems win finally but the fact is the republicans own the vote tallying easily hacked machines and they pay good money to own us dammit...how dare we question...

Original article: How Sarah Palin blew it

i want to believe obama can win ...

but whenever i try to be positive and think that way or i look at the latest polls and see obamas lead growing ever wider...a little voice in my brain whispers " diebold diebold diebold" :(

@ barbera finkelstein

re: "When was the last time you heard an avowedly conservative politician say she favored tolerance for same-sex couples? Her stand on this issue is indistinguishable from Joe Biden's. Give the Governor some credit for being a defender of civil rights for all Americans." ...yeah and if u think that was sincere and not a painfully pandering attempt to swing a few gay votes i got a real nifty bridge to sell u...shes a fundimentalist christian...that and tolerant are mutally exclusive
