DISRESPECT - What Armey Epitomises

These fuckers don't even respect themselves. Groveling to that fat lying blowhard.

It's pathological. In religious terms, evil.

And Armey truly represents, in the sense of being like them, a big chunk of the population. Fed hate by slick prostitutes like Limbaugh.

I don't see it changing - it will get worse as times get harder. All their problems are someone else's fault, someone brown or female or disabled or queer and not worthy of respect in their aggrieved authoritarian worldview.

I say accord them only as much respect as they accord people they don't like. None so far......

Diminishing Power and NO Moral Standing

The problem for Obama and for the US of A is that we have collectively committed (or allowed those who lead us to commit) many Vices, or rather Vicious (vice-filled) acts: Lying habitually, Cheating and robbing, Killing and destroying the innocent, and filled with hubris, disrespecting virtue and humanity.

Humility and Amends are necessary, but unlikely. Because first the sinner must acknowledge his sin. Do you see this happening?

MLK was assassinated, IMHO, because he opposed the Vietnam war. The war machine has been very accomodating to racial equality. What matter whether the meat for the meat grinder has a black or a white rind? But threaten the machine with all this peace talk? We can't have that......eliminate! Eliminate!

Business as Usual - Geithner as Precedent-setter

What message is sent by Geithner's and now Daschle's tax evasions? Unless he is incompetent, which should disqualify him from high office, Geithner is smart enough to fill out a simple tax form and calculate "self-employment taxes" on his income. His omission, IMHO, could not have been other than deliberate. And it provides useful cover for Daschle.

SO the message is - it's ok to cheat as long as you don't get caught. See also Daschle's cheating on his wife.

The other message is "meet the new boss, same as the old boss". Only this time their boy knows how to use Facebook.

I hope the depression will utterly destroy this utterly corrupt system. Want to hasten its end? 50 million citizens deliberately reducing their incomes so as not to pay federal taxes will help starve the beast.

Che Pasa - We need more Church ladies

paying attention to where the powerful get their money and not to where they get their dicks wet.

That nice Tommy Daschle wouldn't say shit if his mouth were full of it so he must be ok.

Now that mean Mr. Dean is just so rude! He needs to go back to his free love commune in Vermont, all high on marijuana or something else real bad.

Boycott Kellogg's! They dumped Michael Phelps

What better way to send a message?

Similarly, I'll never buy a General Motors "automobile" as long as they are the sponsor-in-chief for that hateful lying prostitute Rush Limbaugh.

He only abuses Oxycontin and Viagra, and so doesn't offend his pharmaceutical sponsors.

As long as Prohibition is in effect, this is not a free country. And as long as a clearly beneficial plant like cannabis is prohibited, this is a retarded corrupt fascist country. Emphasis on retarded.

Boycott Kelloggs Update - Tell them what you think

http://www2.kelloggs.com/greatideas/Step1.aspx?action=idea

This takes you to a place you can give Kelloggs your “great idea”. Here’s mine:

I'm boycotting your products because you fired Michael Phelps. W.K.Kellogg was a sensible man who was not afraid to challenge the orthodoxies of his day in pursuit of health. He invented a great addition to the American diet. What have you timid milquetoasts invented?

Cannabis is a wholesome plant that people have used for myriad purposes for thousands of years. That the US Government prohibits it is evil and wrong. Shame on you for besmirching the name of your great founder with your cowardice.

Original article: Counter-terrorism logic

Wow! I'm late to this thread (work) but just Wow (Zoltan the assassin strikes!)

I'm chiming in to congratulate Glenn on the Moyers show. How great to hear sensible, intelligent people speak the truth on that corrupted medium. I may even start watching the odd tv show from time to time. Online, I think.

Zoltan - your agenda is bankrupt. Thoughtful people aren't scared of the boogie man. Try Limbaugh's blog. Oh ya, he doesn't allow comments. Why bother when your followers are incapable of critical thought?

Business as Usual? Didn't his FISA vote signal what he would do?

The Obama for President yard sign came off my lawn after his obscene corporatist capitulation in voting for immunity for law-breaking telecomm companies.

Similarly, the corporatist "bailouts" consist of making the American people pay in perpuity for the greed and corruption of the Banks.

We need a Revolution, and electing Obama wasn't it by a long shot. He's just another marketer with a better handle on technology and a cute resume.

The only solution is to quit paying into this corrupt system. Don't buy corporate crap, don't watch their TV brainwashing, don't pay federal taxes. It's time for JUBILEE!

The Icelanders did it - why can't we?

These are my Principles.

And now this is reality.

(I'll say anything to get elected.)

Now back to our shiny show.

Do you really want to know?

Do as I Say, Not as I do

Bad Dad, but with power over millions, and the biggest armed gang in the world.

One consolation: there are way too many people on the earth anyway. Too bad the self-imposed solution will reduce us to zero.

This is a Civil Lawsuit against a Client Corporation

Obama's position is entirely consistent with his execrable FISA vote - to defend the interests of his corporate sponsors as first priority.

In this case, Boeing subsidiary Jeppeson Dataplan.

I suspect this will be a useful prism to evaluate his administration's actions. Apparently, where corporate interests are involved, all other factors (like the Constitution, statute, international treaties, etc.) are secondary.

I hadn't noticed anyone else making this point. Any thoughts?
