I've been insulin dependant for over 20 years and now I'm 44. Insulin usage can turn into a vicious circle without proper diet and exercise, a lot of which I am guilty of not being "religious" about. You can gain weight as a result of titrating your insulin to an over zealous diet which can lead to weight gain. I pity the unfortunate fools who would allow their blood glucose the "opportunity" to run amok for the most ridiculous sake of vanity! I know several type 2 individuals that are so out of touch with their disease that they too are in the same weight loss crap shoot and don't even realize it. This disease only favors the devoted who keep their blood sugar in the 80-120 range as much as humanly possible and the people who risk the consequences of not being as close to that range as they can will reap far more “reward” than starving their systems of fat cells. It used to appear to me that only older individuals were unable to get their act together with proper diabetes management as they’re not used to testing and injecting on a regular basis, but now it appears that in the name of vanity, anybody can be as reckless. What a shame; the complications of diabetes are always the real killers in the end.

No wonder America is so awry with fickle faith and fantasy! I'm so tired of the message being lost because of a half-oddity(?) being spun by every last outlet on earth.. I sense a willing strand of hope in this guy and every one I know wants to bet some stupid notion of "he can't" to counter that message of hope. This is as good a chance as America has been offered and yet America lays dormant in some politically induced coma that has diminished and eroded so many other great nations and ideals.
