I guess it's not a "bad" thing it is just a strange correlation. Terry Gross is one of the worst interviewers I've ever listened to. "Umm"/long pause, "So"/here comes another pointless query, ... "How did that make you feel?/rape story, duh!", "What was the inspiration for that song?/obvious in the title". Very much some third grade debate team stuff.

I viewed the speech at youtube, I didn't hear it originally (campaign fatigue...). I liked the speech and the inclusion. It's pathetic that gay marriage is even an issue but it is, just like not voting for a guy because he's (1/2) black. Only the candidate must step lightly on the gay issue whereas the "blue collar voters"/racists will have only themselves to answer to. Sorry, I guess I'm a gay elitist sniper!
