Now that Moses is dead and Jesus is nowhere to be seen:

Judeofascism and Christofascism weeks are where the real parties are going to be!

Huckleberry..

Just what the United States needs, a new and improved "conservative" organization led by a guy who thinks the earth is ~6,000 years old, believes in a magic entity in the sky and his/hers/it's kid; a white guy who was killed by the Romans and who's going to come back and run for president of the world. That's some kind of wonderful!

Deferred prosecutions

Does that mean BushCo's prosecution eventually take place?

Joan,,, joan..... (moan....)

Hop on the stupid non-issue bus much? When I saw Mrs. Clinton's press release yesterday I couldn't believe how petty and ridiculous the charge appeared to present itself. Apparently you can't say or assume that people who have had to survive through an economic blight may or may not be bitter and find scapegoats to lean upon. OH NO, WAIT! He definitely said they're all bitter there, that's what he said. You've got to admit now that it was possibly ploy at the "I feel sympathetic" scenario or maybe the "I know a little about human nature from experience" scenario. The only thing I know for certain is that it's a better angle than lying for the human experience vote about snipers in Bosnia. Why don’t you join the campaign Joan? You’ve got a real knack for spinning up batches of bullshit non-issues!

Obama is an elitist?

That's "rich". Archie Bunkers indeed! Best comment on the thread. Hillary is a working class hero? Best laugh! Would you folks with the persecution complexes please cut the rest of us just a little slack before you whither and die?

Saturday, April 12, 2008 01:49 PM

@T. Suarez

Wow, I've never thought about it that way! Wait, let me succumb to my working class, NRA, Judeo-Christian persecution complex again.. Now I see! How could I have overlooked the vicious and denigrating insult on our national character by Senator Obama? Thanks for opening our eyes on this one! Whew!

@ ShawnWM

Yeah, that Lordy-Gourd part isn't fringy at all. I don’t believe in things I can’t see.

Good luck with that! Yes, that was a slam at your delusion by the way, Guilty!

Hey!

Why doesn't anybody flame war with me? Haven't I been stupid and obtuse enough? Okay, so anything taken out of context is just that; taken out of context. That means it's partially false, 1/2 wrong, incorrect, undermined, manipulated, a white lie, etc... And so this demotes the topic to null. Sorry Joan, but you should be fired, not sued. The thread arguments are pointless because the article's only merit is that the statement of interest was "taken out of context". Keep insulting each other though, it's hilarious! He's a fuckup, she's a shithead! Funny stuff!

A working class hero is something to be.

(Angry Lennon song..)

Sunday, April 13, 2008 02:06 PM

Sorry

"Working Class Hero" is a Lennon with a persecution complex song. That is more apropos.

Salon.com

Where your persecution complex matters, to a sickening and excessive degree (aka ad nauseam). Oh well, yet another article about the same old bullshit.. Sorry all you increasingly frustrated young women, I know, I know. Sometimes the sexism comes on like sniper fire and you have to run, duck your head down and get to your car! I am an Obamatron, I have a glazed look in my sexist eyes... What's wrong with me??

Monday, April 14, 2008 08:56 AM

W.E.S.

You're hurting me and all of the other gays who have persecution complexes about the medias bias against our homosexual lifestyles. They're anti-gay! It's not fair! Boo-hoo-hoo-hoo. I need a hug (but not from Hillary Clinton, eeeew!).

Monday, April 14, 2008 09:05 AM

Am I the only one?

Am I the only one who finds sexism well, kind of sexy?

Monday, April 14, 2008 06:49 PM

What Is is

Racism is Racy! Sexism is Sexy! Bigotry, it BIG man! Geritol Ferraro is a Spinster Monster! Last but not least? Fellatio is not Sex! It's all good peoples. I so glad we had this time together, just to have a laugh and sing a song (Oh shit, that’s rights! I irrationally hate Carol Burnett too….). Levity? Who'da?!

@ quietmind

I wholeheartedly agree and could not have said it better except that I would personally like to knock his dentures out too. The war birds have got to be put down, they are a waste of life and money.

Tuesday, April 15, 2008 09:21 AM

A tenuous stance

But if there were anything investigated it would at least hint at some restoration on the Executive's recently broadened scope of power. Can anyone imagine a return to relative normalcy in the Federal Government where the President isn't a king surrounded by an incompetent and lawless cabinet and favoritism appointees? I'll believe it when I see it of course..

Obama 08!

Tuesday, April 15, 2008 11:50 AM

That Obama..

You hear him talk and it all sounds nice but there's no detail, except when he calls people bitter. Now that's detailed!

Tuesday, April 15, 2008 12:07 PM

Notorious, but lacking notoriety

Whatever the impact of the bitter/non-issue is, it will serve as a litmus test for stupidity in a particularly notorious Midwest state. Was that the Liberty Bell?

Wednesday, April 16, 2008 09:11 AM

Sick of it

"I'd like to say I'm politically savvy enough to have predicted the continuing firestorm over Obama's remarks when it broke last week"

My Bay Area coworkers and I call each other elitists now on a lark, I suppose you could describe us as bitter because we make jokes about "elitist" being a bad word. The only political firestorm I can still see is being tiredly propagated over and over again by Republican pundits, Hillary Clinton (pseudo Republican) and Joan Walsh (politically savvy feministic, yet perennially whiney columnist at Salon.com in San Francisco). “Bitter-gate” is really starting to sound like a great title for your blog Joan. “Bitter-woman-gate” would be even more apropos but that’s “sex-elitist”. Now I just need to stick racism, some kind of Judeo Christian slur and an insult to San Francisco, fuse it into “sex-elitist” and I’ll have created the ultimate slur and grounds for victimization pity party cocktail!
