  • WTF are you talking about?

[Read the article: Obama's delegate roundup]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Are you suggesting I want to see more US troops die? That I am cheering for that?

  • Month to month

[Read the article: Obama's delegate roundup]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The reason I ask about that is because you see that with housing market often - that March was better than February so we're bouncing back! When in reality a bad March will almost always beat the best February.

I just wanted to know, I am not trying to spin a lower death toll for political points - that would be immoral and sickening for anyone to do.

That was about the extent of that. I'm really troubled if that was what people inferred from my post.

  • Florida

[Read the article: Leader of Florida delegate challenge endorses Clinton]

    Dumbest. State. Ever.

Maybe it was no accident that Katherine Harris was running the show down there in 2000...

  • Easy guys

[Read the article: Clinton gets one more]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

This is actually the kind of 'man bites dog' story that I'm interested in.

No doubt that it is Obama's night, I don't think that the author was using this story to show that it isn't.

A great night, though. From here on out, a black man or a woman running for president will not be 'a big deal'. That's what great about the US - the first time is over-scrutinized but and subsequent storyline is old hat (i.e. black NFL QB's in the 1980's....seems silly now, huh?).

  • The analysis must be done

[Read the article: Hillary Clinton for veep -- the petition]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Will that large % of her block in OH, WV, KY (like that matters) come with her? Since they voted against the black guy and Obama is still black?

Does she get him what he needs to win FL? Or does he win that with another choice who delivers another state out west?

This cannot be a 1 day decision.

But if she can get him OH and FL safely - which I highly doubt - you'd have to take it. I'd think less of Obama for selecting her, and it is a weaker ticket in terms of vision and governing. But it is a numbers game and this ticket may deliver the #'s.

Watching McCain give a speech is like watching an old man try to make a left on green at a four way light in rush hour traffic. Slow. Painful.

And remember, we get Bill in the deal. For all the good and bad.

  • Hillary Supporters

[Read the article: Hillary Clinton for veep -- the petition]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Do you think that Hillary could put it all aside and be the good solider who says nothing outside of the party line? That she has to do what Obama tells her if she is the VP?

I'd argue that Reagan-Bush was almost as nasty and they probably disliked one another more than Obama-Clinton. But HW Bush was able to suck it up for the greater good. Do you think Hillary would / could do this?

I'm not so sure. That's my biggest concerrn aside from the fact that a forward-looking 'change' canddiate would pick an the establishment canddiate who - in 8 years - could not make good on any of the promises she made last night.

Again, comes down to OH and FL. If she brings those, she's in. Forget WV and KY - they hate black people.

  • And the GOP was going to give Clinton a Pass?

[Read the article: Dem leaders want race over this week]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    Are you delusional?

    Clinton killed Vince Foster

Clinton wants you to see gov't doctors you don't know

Clinton will socialize our industry because she is a communist

    Travelgate

    Whitewater

    Bill's honeys on the side

You are going to see scum and slime from them no matter what. Just look st McCain's dirtball speech last night, it's the same talking points.

Get ready for the same old crap, as the GOP has no platform aside from...

    Be afraid of terrorists

The Dems will raise your taxes

    They'll surrender to the UN

They'll make abortion and gay marriage mandatory

Have you not been paying attention? Every GOP campaign since Nixon has followed this formula.

But they woulda taken it easy on Hillary, right?

  • Watching "Recount"

[Read the article: Reid: "Lieberman is an important vote for this caucus"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

And the only thing that kept me from getting furious was the fact that Lierberman was denied being the VP of this great nation. It is important for me and for America that he go down as a footnote to history and that he die a disappointed nobody.

Obama should beat him with a can of Del Monte corn.

  • American "Surrender" in Vietnam

[Read the article: McCain camp debuts new ad with big buy]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

If we as a nation had not taken action and gotten out of Vietnam - a scenario that McCain would call "surrender" if it happened in Iraq - then he would still be in the Hanoi Hilton. Right now. Or he would've died there.

Does he not realize that? Why is this never brought up?

And I hope he gets the same traction with his POW story that VP candidate Stockdale did when he ran with Perot. Remember, the GOP laughed at him because he could no longer hear because of his torture at the hands of the N Vietnamese.

So, here we go again with 'flipper' McCain.

He was before the war before he was against it before he was for it.

He was with the President before he wasn't and until he'll need to him to campaign in a red, red state where no one will notice and he'll run and hide from him when W boards the plane.

    What integrity!

As someone in the business as well I can tell you that $3MM is not a "big buy" when you look at all the states and media markets involved.

  • Too much going on

    [Read the article: "Black President"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

And I like Nas, but there is WAY too much going on with this song - its all over the place.

I would like Obama to use a campaign song that is sure to bring down the house - just like it would at every wedding reception, pro sports event, block party, you name it. And that song is "It Takes Two" by Rob Bass.

Maybe they can play it at the first event that Hillary and Obama walk out onstage together!
