  • Yeah, Hillary is a total sell-out

It is amazing that otherwise smart people come on this forum every day and say - to the effect - "Hillary will never abandon women, she's on our side, her struggle is our struggle."

Uh, ya know who her core and most solid block of support used to come from?

    Ya wanna guess.

    Yep - African Americans.

And look what she has done to them. She created a splinter group of the party that caters to racists. 16% in PA, 40% in WV, 25% in KY. David Duke would be lukcy to pull those numbers!

She already sold the women of PA out to Richard Mellon Scaife. She'd sell you out for 2 NASCAR dads in a heartbeat.

Look beyond her size 24 floppy clown shoes and red nose - this is the track record.

    Same lie, over and over.

She is "tired" and just slipped up with the Bosnia sniper lie. Oops - it comes out she told it mutiple times over numerous days. She blows it off.

She is "tired" and was "thinking" of Ted Kennedy. Oops - it comes out she made this connection at least once before weeks ago. She blows it off.

Same old lies. Same old gaffes. Same old lack of accountability and responsibility. Same old clown.

Nothing worse than watching someone drown. I think Mama Cass died in much the same way.

Are like the last two generals in the Berlin Bunker. Their leader is gone, the game is over.

And yet, they continue to push imaginary pieces around a map that has no basis in reality. They continue to pin their hopes on fantastic scenarios.

It is actually funny to see them spin this as good news for Clinton. I think they are either GOP operatives or 9th graders.

Keep at it guys, but ya know what happened to those two generals at the end - right?

So, if he finishes her off by actively campaigning against her, it is cold-hearted, sexist bullying.

And if he backs off and lets her go out on her own terms, by refusing to campaign in the states she was going to win, it is condescending.

Wow, you're tough to please aren't you?

What should he have done, other than tank so that your choice won? Should he have played to lose?

If he offers her the VP slot, he's arrogant. If he does not, he's snubbing her out of spite.

You embody the "hater-victim" mentality that has crippled this party since the late 60's. so, if you want to waste your vote, have at it. I suspect Nader got it most years anyway.

  • You guys miss the point

As with many things in a race like this, it is not what was said - it was how it was handled.

The initial flare up was initially defended, in a catty manner as usual, by the Clinton spokesteam. Then, she offered a non-apology apology worthy of Pacman Jones or Michael Irvin. Then it turns out that her explanation was a complete lie.

I expect more from a woman who - to this day - looks down and her nose and sanctimoniously lectures Obama on "you can't choose your family, but you can choose your pastor" (insert her-still-being-married-to-Bill joke here).

    Decorum. Judgement. Truthfulness.

    Important for being President.

And here we go again - Obama and McCain haveing a pointed and heated debate over Vet's Bill of Rights, Cuba, Iran.

And what is Hillary talking about? What is her contribution to the discourse of the day? As the nation teeters on the brink? RFK assassination references, whining about rules, making up accustations of sexism so people ignore that a third of her votes have come from racists as of late, and the right to campaign for the right to campaign.

    How Presidential.

    Yawn.

We should let the South go and install Clinton as its Queen. Then all the annoyances and liabilities will be gone.

  • Karen, that sounds entrely reasonable

Let's just triple the FL and MI delegations while we are at it, and give Hillary 1,000 delegates to soothe her bruised feelings. While we're at it, let's give her a rattle and a woobie.

You have no credibility left, and should be ignored along with the Texas Girls.

I just filled up my tank - $4.04! Cost $52.00! Where, oh where, did that GAS TAX HOLIDAY GO?

I am not sure that Obama ever made inroads with the "hard working class whites" that Hillary won PA, WV, and KY with. Getting beyond the fact that a sizable portion of these people cited race as a factor, it is hard to imagine that they were ever considering Obama. This is the same reason why a Hillary VP slot does not get these people over either - Obama is black and that's that.

It seems that Obama's level of support among this population was the same before the "Bitter" comment - this just happened to be what they referenced as teh reason for voting against him. We know from exit polls that it was the color of his skin, and not any insensitive remarks, that costs him with rural whites.
