[Read the article: Former DNC head switches allegiance]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]And then I have to look for a good black beans and rice recipe.
You assume that anyone racist enough to vote against Obama because of the color of his skin would ever vote for Hillary, which I believe is not realistic. People like that are the core of the GOP, and they would not vote for anyone, even the reincarnation of Robert E Lee, if he ran as a Democrat.
Just because Hillary won with these people (who happen to be Democrats) in PA, make a note that this block overwhelmingly votes for the GOP. Thinking you can get them in the general election is not realistic.
Again, we could only get them to vote against Santorum when we ran an anti-choice Dem for his seat. Unless Hillary voes to overturn Roe, this segment is a lost cause. You are mistaking these people for actual "Reagan Dems". And you do not need them to win. We've managed to do so before.

Thank God
[Read the article: Gas tax proposals likely DOA]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Now this is over. And here is how you know it was all total nonsense to begin with - Hillary will act like she never thought about the gas tax holiday by Monday AM. And it will be gone and forgotten by Wednesday AM.
McCain at least gets to trash the Democractic congress that refused to pass this rubbish, so he gets something out of it. Maybe a few points that he can't capitalized on because no one pays attention to him. But points nonetheless.
But I'll be damned if I can figure out where the percentage was for Hillary in backing this.

Yeah, LJ
[Read the article: Gas tax proposals likely DOA]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Your whole assumption is that the price of oil remains constant or lower. That the price for a gallon of gas only fluctuates minimally across time. That is nonsense given the demand that occurs during summer, the exact time when you want this tax to kick in.
You want to help truckers? Then be prepared to pay $7 for a gallon of milk. Allow them to make a living by paying them a rate that reflects the actual cost of their services.
But, like most GOP proposals, this was not about economics...it was about politics.
Here is how it would have played out - gas tax is passed and goes through Labor Day. In late August the GOP sites some BS, inconsequential economic indicator and credits the gas tax for causing an economic "surge". Then they propose a 6 week extension to further stimulate the ecomnomy. The Dems buy in. And then it expires, as the Democratic congress refuses to extend it once more.
So, the GOP can beat the Democrats over the head for "raising your taxes" RIGHT BEFORE THE GENERAL ELECTION!
We've seen this before, people. C'mon.
Amazing the Hillary fell for it. But I guess it's all about her, huh?

That is awesome news!
[Read the article: Gas tax proposals likely DOA]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I can't wait until Hillary can get back in the garage and fininsh her Jetsons Hover Car! When can we expect that to roll of the assembly line?
And when will she be delivering on the universal remote that actually works, the everlasting gobstopper, and the cure for cancer?
And they say Obama supporters are naive!
But at least you kept the tone classy.

Baltimore
[Read the article: Gas tax proposals likely DOA]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]You are right, the coverage of Obama bowling a 39 has been totally dropped by the MSM. We need to get back to the issues like that, the ones that matter.
Texas - I am still amazed that you coupled a political gimmick (gas tax) with the single biggest innovation in automotive history (non-gas car).
I also heard that Hillary vowed to give everyone a 2% discount off antibiotics until November, when she'll cure all diseases as President.
If Obama would take the gloves off he'd be up by 30 in every state and national poll. Hillary should thank him for keeping one hand tied behind his back.

Sorry Phoebe

[Read more letters about this article: Here]This is an election year, so nobody in Congress is going to do anything. The GOP would never hand the Dems a victory like the windfall tax on oil companies right before a general election. They'd likely never do it any point, since their party is run by oil men. And W would veto it anyway.
That was what bothered me the most, the premise of Clinton's plan was a lie. She knew she could never fund the tax holiday, but she chose to pander. There was no shot at getting this windfall tax passed.
At the root of this is the fact that most Americans think driving is a God-given right. They feel that anything that prevents them from doing so in unfair or crooked. Almost like they did not factor in the cost of gas when they bought the vehicle. Unreal.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzz
[Read the article: Obama ad hits Clinton on gas tax again]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Dude.
You bore us with your off-topic nonsense. You need some new material. C'mon, get on your game.
Despite Obama being completely off his game and having this clown Rev. hanging around he is soundly thrashing you candidate. Get used to it. Imagine how bad Clinton is to remain SO far behind the winner. How is Obama ALWAYS 2 steps ahead? It must be so annoying. I feel for you.
Hillary needs 80% of the unpledged Super Delegates, 70% of the remaining pledged delegates in play, and Edwards' 19 pledged delegates. She needs this to win by 1.
So, now that your last-ditch Super Delegates scam is not going to happen, I suspect you'll start whining about MI and FL. Because whining and changing the rules are really all you have left. Maybe you can have Albania vote in the primary - they like the Clintons.
You sound like that "Comical Ali" dude from Iraq, talking about victory as US tanks were rolling in the background.
