It's odd

Obviously the organization not only doesn't need the money, but feels superior to women. Ironic.

The terrorists won!

It seems like this country is comprised between selfish people who hate the environment, love torture and war and could care less about our kids and stupid, unaware, unthinking (again, selfish) racists and those in the middle are getting mud all over them.

If George W Bush's legacy says anything, it's that the terrorists were right about us and they just nudged us along our way to destroying ourselves.

Governments Complicit with Corporations

I think at any rate there's nothing that can be done. I hat ethat it's so hopeless, but when all the people who have all of the power just keep hurting all of the people with none of the power it will just keep happening, no matter how bright a light is shone up on it.

Why people even care

With all that's going on in the world the fact that people even watch "Real Housewives" of anything makes me vomit in the corner and want them to roll in it. The fact that Salon even writes about it irks me. I'm going to have not read this column anymore. And it's a lychee martinee. Not litchi.

Original article: I Like to Watch

STOP WATCHING!

Stop supporting these clowns.

I'm sick to death of people complaining about these shows and yet they continue to watch.

Get A LIFE, read a book, see a movie, do some volunteer work, something to add some value to the world.

Oh, please...

There are always the warmongers and straight party players who will hate the underdogs and those outside the system. The other democrats running against Kucinich are just smelling blood in the water and trying to get in through the backdoor.

If they succeed in defeating this truly great leader, they're only shooting themselves in their collective feet.

Original article: Tigers don't belong in zoos

Sanctuaries, not Zoos

I volunteer at the Wild Animal Sanctuary in Colorado. We take in animals cast off from circuses, roadside zoos, people keeping tigers and lions as pets and other abusive and neglectful situations where the animals live for the rest of their lives in comfort and peace.

We have large habitats for tigers, lions, bears and other large carnivores to make a true sanctuary for animals, not a zoo for people, and for us education is the key. Getting the word out about the captive wildlife crisis is our mission.

We do not breed the animals in our care, we do not exploit them or let people take pictures with them. No one is allowed to touch an animal or be in an enclosure with them. We have habitats for our animals that have been exhaustively researched, expanded and optimized to insure the animals are happy, well fed, stimulated and socialized.

Our tigers roll around on their backs, playing, happily chuffing at each other -- there is no pacing or rubbing up against the bars out of frustration. The bears all hibernate in the winter in man-made dens. The lions have prides, with natural hierarchies in a huge 20-acre habitat.

Breeding isn't the answer. The tiger isn't endangered. There are more tigers in captivity than in the wild, and the problem is growing worse as people kill them for their "medicinal properties", destroy their habitat, and capture them to keep as pets or in zoos.

The answer is education. The more people know, the better we all are.

Yes, we get it, you hate women. Go play with the boys, now.

OK, we get it. You hate women. Move on.

Where the HELL Are the Democrats??? Who is helping us get out?

I expected the Republicans to act like nothing was wrong and to once again express horror at an ad, but nonchalance and indifference to murder and terror -- they're only interested in money and power and whose hypocrisies know no limits, but the Democrats lost my support when they became just like them. Shame on everyone on Capitol Hill.

Parson Jim

Your misogyny and racism is abhorrent. Do you even know how to think before you type?

Original article: Cheerful boos for Hillary

The Bloggers are no longer the alternative

There is no distinction between the parties, and the ones who do try to make a difference are booed.

The liberal bloggers have gone sot and they're as blind and singleminded as the mainstream. The fact that they booed Kucinich and now think HRC is the new Dean is proof.

She's just another Washington clone, jsut in a different package.

Buttinsky Jones

Perhaps the LW should just do his work and let everyone else be. That "Kitty"'s telling everyone her marriage is over should be more of a concern, not her clothes.

The only thing that should matter is if she's doing her work, that her privates and most of her flesh is covered and that she's otherwise professional. The t-shirt complaint discounts the deeper problem here, which the LW doesn't seem concerned with.

And what a little tattletale. If her response wasn't to your liking, you go whining to her boss?

My advice would be find a hobby, join a book club, volunteer -- do something to make your life a little more fulfilling so that trivial crap like this doesn't throw you into a tizzy.

Seriously.

Original article: My hapless African rebel

Wow

I'm sure the author is surprised at the venom his article inspired.

No wonder the state of journalism sucks so profoundly. I am once again disappointed, disgusted and sad. So sad.

I, too, would like to know what happened to that SIM card, and why it was such a big deal to leave it behind when it's useless outside the country?

And people wonder why we're so hated throughout the world.

Original article: "The Sopranos" goes dark

It's all a big nothing

The ending was apt. It ended as it began and there's no mystery. None. The guy went to take a leak. Meadow is as vacuous as ever, choosing a dix figure salary over helping the oppressed, AJ won't save the world, but work at a porn studio, Carmela will still choose money over truth and Tony will end up in prison. Self-centered, consuming Americans go on with their lives amid horror and tragedy. Nothing new here.

Stop writing about her!

Ugh. 'Nuff said.
