Just an observation...
If I happen to read the Boston Herald, which is a Fox-owned daily rag and one of two major newspapers in town, I always notice when they show images of Democrats or liberal-types they usually catch them with goofy expressions on the faces, or generally bad images that imply inferiority.
Today's paper (04/03/07) is a classic example. The've got an image of Hillary and Mitt Rommney next to each other. Hillary looks like a goof and Mitt looks strong and in control.
On another page Massachusetts Senate President Therese Murray looks like a sad-sack.
...you would have known than Jane Siberry (Issa) has already done this.
Although Radiohead probably has a larger fan base and has the potential to make bigger waves in the recording industry, Jane did it first and deserves credit for the idea.
I would love to see more artists (Real music artists, I mean) doing the same and leave the CDs and iTunes to the manufactured artists.
Sorry dude, that was a very incoherent post. I'm re-reading it and trying to get your point...but it's just not there.
And your comments about have a website for ten years sounds like you have might have a touch of Napoleon complex. Being an AMD fanboy that is understandable.
...ruled out a V.P run with Clinton?
Of course not. You read it here first. :-)
Nice article, Sarah.
You must be in your mid-40s also because I could relate to everything you described.
Land of the Lost was a favorite show, and HRP was magical and memorable to those of us who were watching and didn't know what acid was. All of it was great stuff.
I suspect the same experience for those tots watching the Teletubbies these days. It seems like an acid trip for pre-schoolers, but what do they know about acid!
You didn't mention the "Linc Dive". At the end of almost every episode (as least I remember it that way) Linc would be chasing the suspect and leap on the back of the suspect to subdue him.
As a kid my friends and I were always doing this to each other in the yard the day after each show.
I don't have time to read all the comments but the few I've read have been critical. I suppose you can get that when your writing is a little to honest and personal.
I enjoy Ann's style of writing and to me this is another interesting article.

...but I thought the article was dead on.
Being a Red Sox fan I used to hate the Yankees for trying to buy the World Series...and then, of course, I always had trouble resolving the fact that the Red Sox are now doing the same.
So now that the Sox have some recent championships under their belt I have to admit I'm quietly rooting for the Rays. I'd love to see money become much less of a factor in team quality and the Rays are the best example of what you can do on a budget.
Was it just me or did McCain look like Henry Clay with a haircut last night?
I was watching Hardball tonight over my shoulder while cooking supper - doing more listening than actual watching. As I heard Dick Armey make this bizarre and condescending off-the-wall comment about Joan being his wife I stopped dead in my tracks trying to figure out what I just heard.
I couldn't tell if it was a joke or not. What?!!
Anyway, Joan - you were polite and professional as always. Kudos to you for not allowing yourself to be dragged down to Dick Armey's level.
He's a jerk. Your professionalism spoke for itself.
Dead on...as always.
Given that the Republicans (and Limbaugh of course) say it's OK for them to want Obama to fail because liberals wanted Bush to fail, I think you touched on an important point.
In the wake of 9/11 virtually the entire country and the world were solidly behind the Bush Administration. No one dared utter a disparaging remark about Bush.
It wasn't until it became obvious Bush was going to de-emphasize Afghanistan and invade Iraq that the left began to turn on him and question his motives.
It was all downhill from there.
So no, the left was not always working against Bush. That only happened after he started lying, spying and invading countries that were not a threat to us.
...all left and progressive types will completely boycott O'Reilly and all Fox shows. Then all the right-wing lemmings can have their circle jerks together without any facts, logic or reasoning spoiling their climax.
...or considering the wealth of material a TV show.
Curious about Semtex:
Reading up on it in Wikipedia I see that the manufacturer agreed to add a "detection taggant" to the product to allow for detection.
Do the current explosive screenings look for this? If so, then is it possible to acquire bootlegs of Semtex without the taggant?
Liberals don't want a public option. Liberals want single-payer. We've compromised to the public option instead of single payer.
Co-ops are a sell-out - not a compromise.
