no no no

Ahnold, the Governator, the Schwartz!, whatever you want to call him cannot, canNOT be Prez.

I don't need to read the article for this opinion. Skimming the letters, I see this post is somewhat redundant. Too bad.

The answer is still "no". Aside from the redundancy factor, I concur with most every post along these lines, esp the part about changing the Constitution in order to appease nutcases (we have tee-vee for that). The sedative-deprived have already run this country into the ditch. Time for rational adults to make decisions.

terkoy = Typical troll travesty of (past) times accuracy.

Repubs (back when they were vaguely sane 50+ years ago) put the limit on the Presidential terms. That time they only lasted one round. Their time in the desert was well spent, this time they kept ahold of power long enough to sodomize the Country, Constitution, and Civility.

Suck on it.

wandering way OT, @ terkoy

"...damage done by Communist

presidents of the past like Wilson and the Roosevelts.

Now look at Baracky the Bullcrapper, Jowinkle and Fiends trying daily to turn the Constitution upside down.

Mark Levin's book gives a clear picture."

That's "Presidents" with a capital "P". Wilson a Communist? ya right, and Hitler was full of compassion for the Jews and Reagan was a lucid thinker. You might get away with calling FDR a Commie, but only in an alcohol-meth-and-coke-smoothie induced delirium.

If "Baracky" et al, are screwing with the Constitution, it's only because they were started on that slippery slope by Shrub and Darth Cheney.

Reading demented right wing demagogues? Gave up crayons in elementary school. As for listening to them, no thanks. Garbage in - garbage out. Listening to right wing loonies only pollutes the thought process, as evidenced by you trolling losers.

so ...

Suck on it.

"Japan has historically had a much more casual attitude towards sex than the West, which changed only during and after the US occupation."

Not quite, but close.

Tuesday, July 28, 2009 09:48 PM

by all means ..

.. only speak about "legal" changes implicitly and expect everyone else to understand.

Meiji scrubbed a great deal of Shinto's sexuality in order to Westernize Japan, neh?

@ Steele The First

"I have lost all hope for America. I am getting out."

-- Steele The First

Dear Steele The First (and any other nutjobs),

First, a bit of history plus accompanying observation. The English, wisely in my opinion, ditched the lunatic religious elements in their society by seeding ours. It took a few hundred years for them to reach normality, but it definitely paid dividends. The English appear to be normal, reasonable, rational humans now, while we are burdened with the posterity of Englands nutjobs.

Now, to the heart of it. If you truly want to get out, please be my guest. I'll even buy you a one-way ticket ANYWHERE upon surrender of your passport. Find a similarly minded friend and take him/her with you. I'll get that one too.

Please.Leave.Now. I'm thinking about America's posterity. Please be a chum and do the same.

Yours truly,

A Patriot

@ essmeier

While I'm sure there are ignorants that actually believe the right-wing portrayals of Obama, I'm convinced that there are plenty that are simply driving the public dialog in a direction they perceive as favorable to them. Call Obama a commie, fascist, socialist, vegan or whatever, simply go get him to act more conservatively.

Shrub appeared to be stupid, but he got everything he wanted. Is getting everything you want "stupid"?

Yop, doom strate, what cars about gud com skilz

English is the poster's language of choice. It should be exercised correctly. Errors reflect poorly on the user and the host. If they can't get the grammar right, what else are they missing?

must be one hell of a skeleton

... or more likely, a mass grave of skeletons.

What in the world would compel a sitting Parasite(R) to resign? Palin aside, the thugs hold onto the public teat longer and stronger than superglue.

@Randvek

Not to pile on here, but, perhaps you haven't thoroughly considered this. Should the passer-by pull the baby from a burning building or wait for the firemen to (maybe) arrive in time? Should the passer-by help the stranded motorist, or let them wait for the tow truck, and possibly in the process, allow them to freeze/starve/die from heat exhaustion?

Should I throw you a line if you're drowning, or wait for a lifeguard, who might be in the vicinity?

Scalia's comment is Orwellian in the extreme - a Justice not interested in justice. Not surprising considering what a douchebag he is.

What's next, Firemen that burn books?

@ Juan Cole

I'm wondering if you have seen, and agree or disagree with, a documentary floating around the cable channels, "American Drug War: The Last White Hope".

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1033467/

One premise is that the invasion of Afganistan was at least partly motivated by, and timed to facilitate, poppy production.

In other news, Saddam was always in our pocket, there was no need to bribe him or invade the country, beyond BushCo's political reasons (appeasing the Saudis, marking off the Persian Gulf as our territory like dogs pissing on trees, and drowning the country in debt). Obama showed his true colors when he flip-flopped on FISA, and the the fix was in when he quietly met with Big Money donors in the Summer(?) of '08.

@ Forrester

IF there is any factual basis to her "USA=#1" line, I'm sure it is justified by some egregious manipulation of data. She's certainly avoiding some data, e.g. US Infant mortality rates are at third world levels.

Maybe their data set only includes people that live?
