Personally, I found it very heartening. I like that more men nowadays would like to and even be willing to sacrifice to stay home with their children. I find the younger generations very encouraging. All the things we fought for, they almost take for granted. That is the way it should be. Good for them.

First and foremost, every single feminist I have know actually LIKES men. Indeed, we've tended to look at feminism as freeing men in addition to women from restrictive cultural "norms." We also are frequently the mothers of boys/sons...you know...those small male people who grow up to become MEN! And we want the best for our sons. Just like we want the best for our daughters.

Now, to address this current topic...sorta...regarding circumcision vis a vis AIDS...the operation itself will have a nominal effect upon male to female HIV infection (for a variety of reasons that I'm sure you are more than capable of looking up all by yourself). Indeed, I suspect that it wouldn't have much real effect upon most HIV infection rates. Safer (or no) sex really is the only way to address that.

Now, to get to your rather peurile obsession with circumcision being "for women's pleasure" nonsense...HONESTLY! What the HELL are you thinking?? That little snipsnip has NOTHING to do with our "pleasure." Neither are we a monolithic entity forcing this unpleasant and totally unnecessary procedure upon our helpless children. There are growing numbers of us who are totally against this procedure for the same reasons that we are against female circumcision....it is barbarous.

BS...you need help. You need some kind of therapy so you can get over your excessively childish persecution complex. Women are NOT out to "get" you or any other man or indeed the male of the species. We simply want fair and equitable legal rights/treatment for our gender, for we believe that will not only help women, but men as well.

Face it...BS and symbol man are not about to concede anything to anyone who does not agree with them about the vileness of all women (and the men who truly respect us for what we are) and the wonderfulness of all men (especially those who hate/fear women)...OH! and that women rule the world and men are just unwilling victims. BS, symbol man (I don't have access to the symbols that make up your pretentious signature, so I do the best I can with what I have available to me) and others like them will mock, ridicule, twist logic ALL out of whack, ignore facts, dismiss personal experience, etc, etc, etc, in order to support their paranoia and misogyny. I'll admit that there were a few times when I either tried to use logic with them or rant against them myself. I admit to having fed the trolls. I regret that, only because people like them are a waste of my time and energy. They will never, ever learn, at least not in this lifetime. I shudder to think what karma they may have to deal with in their next lifetimes.

Anyway, ignore them. Seriously. I come to Broadsheet to learn new things, enjoy the more intelligent letters/responses, and have a little fun. I enjoy the seriousness, silliness, supportiveness, and general diversity of articles posted here. BS and symbol man are nothing more than annoyances, throwers of petty tantrums, schoolyard bullies aching to be taken seriously when in reality they are nothing but pathetic jokes.
