  • The thing about feminists...

[Read the article: Why I'm still not for Hillary Clinton]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The thing about feminists is that they rebuke being classified as monolithic, and yet any feministic variation must be pre-approved by the self described feminist intelligencia.

Hillary Clinton is running for president of the United States of America, not the United Feminists of America. She can't be everything to all feminists.

As a black woman, I get to hear black folks talk about how Oprah doesn't do enough shows about black culture. The thing is, Oprah shouldn't have to prove her blackness just because she has chosen to have her show cover as many topics as she and her producers are interested in mining. Her show is for everyone, not just black folks. I mean, if Oprah did every show about black folks, then we wouldn't get to see our Nate, would we?!

Same thing for Hillary. If feminists can't respect that Hillary Clinton represents where the feminism movement is and where its yet to go just b/c she's not 1. touting the feminist agenda 24/7, 2. isn't rushing to gain the approval of feminists everywhere, and 3. has concerns that encompass America and not just women, then yall need to get a damn clue!

  • Fight or Flight? I AIN'T NEVER SCARED!

Regularly people justify not supporting Hillary Clinton because the Republicans will come out swinging if she gets the nomination.

Here's the truth of things you punk @ss b@stards:

AMERICANS NEED TO LEARN HOW TO FIGHT FOR WHAT THEY BELIEVE IN!

DEMOCRATS NEED TO LEARN HOW TO FIGHT FOR WHAT THEY BELIEVE IN!

Why are folks running from a fight with the Republicans? Hillary, who's been pimpslapped more than a time or two by the Republicans is in gansta pose, arms spread telling them to bring it on as she fights for Americans and fights to lead us.

Republicans are going to try to desimate whomever gets the Democratic nomination. Obama and Edwards won't get passes just b/c they aren't Hillary. Any Democratic president who walks into the White House is going to have to fight tooth and nail for their legislation. That's the nature of politics! Republicans understand that and Democrats have been fleeing ever since.

Personally, the fact that Hillary not only has faced the Republicans down, but also will alternately fight or work with them to get things done gets her cool points, as far as I'm concerned.

We need to stop being a bunch of lil punks. We're worth fighting for and so is America. The rest of you punks needs to sit down somewhere and cry in your soup.

Like we chant in the hood I AIN'T NEVER SCARED!

  • Two Points: McNaulty and How White Men Speak...

[Read the article: Hot off "The Wire"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    On McNaulty:

Originally I thought The Wire was about McNaulty, then came 4 years of building a world were he was just one piece, and now I realize that this show really is about McNaulty.

McNaulty has been too smart and too troublesome, redeemed, and now fallen. He is the best of The Wire and the worst. He's touched on every level, and has come away this with this festering desire to implode. The happiest I ever saw him was in the 4th season. He was hopeful and strong and prepared to fight. Now he's just drowning, and I believe that he will die (or go to jail which is pretty much the same thing for a cop).

McNaulty will go to jail as the example and B-more will live on.

    On How White Men Speak:

As for I know about the public schools. My wife volunteers there, if that ain't the best line, I don't know what is. That White man was in the know! LOL The writers was so deep and so dope with that line that the whole group of us in the room watching, Black professionals and Black street hustlers alike had one good laugh.

    That's The Wire for you.
