2012?

Ia it just me, but is this another way for Hillary to make Obama look bad so he loses this fall and she can run in 2012? She knows this won't really help her win in the end, it won't give her.a lead. But Obama can't take the chance. Why is she doing this, just trying to bring him down. She looks so desperate, but she doesn't care, she is so bent on winning! Ugh!

I agree!

1 - Napolitano is a two term Democratic governor from a traditionally Republican state. She has demonstrated cross over appeal to independents and more moderate Republicans. As a second term governor she has extensive leadership and executive experience.

2 - She is highly respected in the southwestern states Obama wants to put into play - New Mexico, Colorado and Arizona. Plus, she would make McCain have to defend his own state of Arizona - wouldn't that be great!

3 - Janet is pragmatic, intelligent, affable, personable, well spoken and a motivator. She has a deep command of the issues and would be great on the stump and in debates.

4 - Before she was governor, Napolitano was Arizona's attorney general. She has solid law enforcement experience and is respected by the law enforcement community. Further, immigration is a hot topic and she has approached the issue very pragmatically in Arizona, supporting increased border enforcement along with continually holding the Federal government accountable for their continued lack of comprehensive immigration reform. She has done all this while emphasizing human rights and maintaining strong support among the Hispanic constituents Obama needs to win over this fall.

5 - She is a "She" and would help solidify Obama's support among disaffected female Hillary supporters.

6 - She was an early and ardent supporter of Obama's.

7 - As Governor, Napolitano has continually focused on improving Arizona's early childhood education system.

A Janet and Barack fan, AZ resident.

Progressives for a Postive American Future - Unite (PaPAFU)

Hello all you progressives and Obama peeps! Let's forget about all the garbage we have been focused on the last week and refocus on the excitment of an Obama administration. Let's refocus on the positive energy that built Obama's campaign. Remember energy independence in 10 years? Clean, green jobs that will help our environment, bring economic recovery, new investments in technology and energy independence from the middle east. How about healthcare that everyone can afford? Remember - no $'s into Obama's campaign from big pharma or health insurance lobbyists. Guarenteed eligibility, expansion of SCHIP and a benefit package similar to that offered through Federal Employees Health Benefits Program - that's something McCain Palin can't touch.

And my personal fave from his website - Zero to Five Plan: Obama's comprehensive "Zero to Five" plan will provide critical support to young children and their parents. Unlike other early childhood education plans, Obama's plan places key emphasis at early care and education for infants, which is essential for children to be ready to enter kindergarten. Obama will create Early Learning Challenge Grants to promote state "zero to five" efforts and help states move toward voluntary, universal pre-school.

Don't get dragged in the mud - that's going backwards - progressives unite behind Obama a vision for a more prosperous, cleaner, greener America!

Remember PaPAFU Loves you!

If McCain Can

If he can, McCain will come at Obama hard but respectful, steady and positive. He will be relentless - but stick to the issues. He will show energy, enthusiasm and toughness all at the same time.

It is all about style, character and attitude. If McCain can show himself to be a steadfast, tough, but fair and positive General to Obama's Captain, then he can win.

That is a big if.

When they clear the foster care rolls of kids waiting to be adopted

Then maybe we can talk about supporting unplanned and possibly unwanted children being born to parents who can't or won't take care of them.
