[Read more letters about this article: Here]"Obama is, more than anything, an Ultra Liberal Elitist. Check out the photo ... shirt and tie and shooting pool."
Yep, no one ever plays pool wearing a tie. I ain't never seen it. Only them effete men I guess.

[Read the article: Racism on the trail]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The exact same arguments that those Right Wing Blogs are using have been popping up all over Madden's message board.
hmmm...curious.

[Read the article: Racism on the trail]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]alas I don't think they'll ever go away...they're the same people who send you that truly awful email that's supposedly an Andy Rooney editorial but is nothing more than a hate filled screed.
I can't tell you how many times I've received that one from people I assumed were decent folk.
Depresses the hell outta me every time.
These people are going to have a hayday with this election...it's unavoidable, but I sincerely believe that the decent folk outnumber them finally.

Oooh!
[Read the article: Networks call West Virginia for Clinton]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Wolfson is one slimy fellow isn't he? Totally lied through his teeth about how Clinton said that Michigan wouldn't count just now on CNN...
Jeebus, I though Penn was a sneaky fella, Wolfson makes him look like Mary Poppins!

great link
[Read the article: Some thoughts about West Virginia ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Thanks for linking to that dailykos post, I enjoyed it immensely. She's bang on btw - progress happens in fits and spurts, but it happens nonetheless. The seeds you sow today might bear fruit later, so why not at least try to sow them seeds?
Oddly enough it reminded me of my epic arguments with Ma about Capital Punishment. For most of her life she insisted that it was just and "provided closure for the families" and "took them off the streets" etc etc. Being a pinko from a surprisingly early age I insisted that it was evil, state sanctioned murder, solved nothing and was unadulterated vindictiveness (well I probably didn't say "unadulterated" ;)...ya know, the normal arguments. I never thought I was ever going to get through to her and was somewhat annoyed with that. Then one night when the state was about to execute someone especially heinous (Gacy I think), Ma burst into my room crying around midnight. She said that she was sitting in bed and noted the time, knowing that someone was being killed in the people's name and it hit her that it was barbaric and wrong and, well, evil. She apologized for what she had thought about the issue...and admitted to her adolescent son that he was in fact right (gotta admit, that felt kinda cool :)
Anyways, now she's a staunch opponent of Capital Punishment...and often takes up the fight with other relatives who think as she used to.
so, uhhh...I guess that was a bit of a tangent, but the point is: progress can happen, I've seen it.
cheers

As Ever
[Read the article: Democrat tarred by anti-Obama attacks wins congressional seat]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Some posters entirely miss the point. The point isn't that Childers "ran away" from Obama. The point is that the Republicans tried all they could to use Wright as a 21st Century Willie Horton and it hasn't worked.
Gee...it looks like I *gulp* might have to admit that Begala was right about this topic.

sorry for the cross-post

One last thing about PA & OH
[Read the article: She's still in it to win it]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Kerry won PA and barely lost OH.
And I have dust bunnies with more charisma than Kerry.
But sure...Obama will lose those states in a blowout. I'll buy that...
now does anyone know where I can get me some prime Florida Real Estate?
;P

[Read the article: She's still in it to win it]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Man, I so hope you aren't right about that comment. If you are right I'd be simply flabbergasted. What a cynical way to treat people who believe in you.
Wow. I fervently pray that you aren't correct. As much as I have issues with Clinton, I'd HATE to see her supporters used in such a cheap manner.

[Read the article: NARAL endorses Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Hey, thanks for sharing!
Now what exactly does your latest screed about "electibility" have to do with a NARAL endorsement again?
Thanks
p.s. about that "electibility". 'Member when Kerry was the Electible one? How did that work out again?

alright
[Read the article: She's still in it to win it]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I'll get real.
If there were two white men running instead of a woman and a biracial man and it was this tight....well, actually they wouldn't still be running because the one losing would've been forced out already by the Party Elite. And we'd be gearing into the General Campaign.
They'd love to do the same thing here but must walk on eggshells in order not to alienate either candidates base. It's a byproduct of the Identity Politics we've been undergoing this season. Hey, I don't like it too much, but it's unavoidable...until we actually live in a post-racial post-gendered society these issues will continue to rear their head - identity simply means too much to people for it not to.
So yeah, I'll get real...you're playing with some pretty dangerous kindling there kiddo, and until you (and others) quit with the Victimapalooza we'll continue to sit beside a powder keg (and giving off sparks as the immortal Ms. Tyler would say :)

Well that does it
[Read the article: Edwards endorsing Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]John and Elizabeth are nothing but a couple of JUDASESESES!!!!
If I saw them on the street I'd spit at their feet!!
