I totally agree. The Habs looked, well, dominant last night. They played the Bruins game (physical and hard hitting) and still out shot them by a wide margin and won 4-1. They weathered Price's predictable 1st period jitters and for the rest of the game he looked rock solid.

It's weird to be the favourite isn't it? I've grown accustomed to les habitants being the underdogs that every win has me boucing in my seat with glee. Last night I was left with a "yep, they spanked 'em like they shoulda". Not that I'm complaining, but it's different.

Habs in Five (Thomas steals one) and on to round 2!

    cheers!

p.s. I used to have a family friend from Saint Hyacinthe with the last name Fournier...Seeing your name always reminds me of that guy :)

at the sitcom moment where the arguing between a man (Hutman) and woman (AKA) reaches its fever pitch and they end up in a wild, passionate embrace.

...aaaand cue the canned audience "woooo!"

fair enough, but that's not what you asked :)

"Let me know when you find photograhpic evidence of Obama attending an anti-war rally."

but point taken, quite frankly I don't think there is a single politician in the United States that can be justifiably anti war/anti military. As an outsider who visits family regularly in the States, the level of militarism in your society quite frankly disturbs me. I still boggle at going to a Rock Festival in Philadelphia and seeing one of those big fake rock climbing thingies sponsored by the US Army. It was a ROCK concert...The Strokes!?! That kind of thing just doesn't happen where I'm from (Canada). The popularity of the military exhibits at the few county fairs I've been to also disturbs me...I get the impression that militarism is damn near ubiqitous by now...it's serves as a stark reminder that there are real differences between my country and yours.

So what does that leave us with? Well, shading really. No politician can be 100% Dove, so which one is best? Out of these three I really can't see how anybody can argue for somebody other than Obama.

She came from Greece, she had a thirst for knowledge

She studied sculpture at Saint Martin's College

That's where I caught her eye

She told me that her Dad was loaded

I said "In that case I'll have rum and coca-cola

    She said "fine"

And then in 30 seconds time she said

"I want to live like common people

I want to do whatever common people do

I want to sleep with common people

I want to sleep with common people like you"

Well what else could I do?

I said "I'll see what I can do"

I took her to a supermarket

    I don't know why

but I had to start it somewhere

    so it started there

I said "pretend you've got no money"

    but she just laughed

and said "oh you're so funny"

    I said "Yeah

Well I can't see anyone else smiling in here

    Are you sure

you want to live like common people

you want to see whatever common people see

you want to sleep with common people

you want to sleep with common people like me?"

    But she didn't understand

she just smiled and held my hand

Rent a flat above a shop

Cut your hair and get a job

Smoke some fags and play some pool

Pretend you never went to school

But still you'll never get it right

'cos when you're laid in bed at night

    watching roaches climb the wall

if you called your dad he could stop it all

    yeah

You'll never live like common people

You'll never do whatever common people do

You'll never fail like common people

You'll never watch your life slide out of view

and then dance and drink and screw

because there's nothing else to do

Sing along with the common people

Sing along and it might just get you through

Laugh along with the common people

Laugh along although they're laughing at you

and the stupid things that you do

because you think that poor is cool

Like a dog lying in a corner

they will bite you and never warn you

    Look out

    they'll tear your insides out

    'cos everybody hates a tourist

    especially one who thinks

    it's all such a laugh

yeah and the chip stain's grease

will come out in the bath

    You will never understand

how it feels to live your life

    with no meaning or control

and with nowhere left to go

You are amazed that they exist

    and they burn so bright

whilst you can only wonder why

Rent a flat above a shop

Cut your hair and get a job

Smoke some fags and play some pool

Pretend you never went to school

But still you'll never get it right

You'll never fail like common people

You'll never watch your life slide out of view
