[Read more letters about this article: Here]Pardon me, but...what??
I fail to see how rightfully noting that Iraq HAD NOTHING to do with 9/11 (a fact, a well known fact in 2008. A well known fact in 2002) means I've fallen "under the spell" of Obama.
your meandering reply implies that you have no idea what you're talking about.
cheers

[Read more letters about this article: Here]Thank You, now if only Clinton could say the same thing!
I think the problem for alot of people (at least the ones posting in the leftie internets) is that her refusal to acknowledge that she was wrong on that vote signals that she hasn't learned any lessons from it, and that she could make the same mistake again when she answers that 3 am call. I don't think it's invalid to look at her approval of kyl/lieberman and surmise that she seems to have trouble learning those lessons.
cheers

another thing to consider
[Read the article: Florida's House Dems oppose second primary]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]If the do revote, and the states have to pony up the cash (as the DNC has rightly decided), then don't you think that MAYBE the good people of Florida and Michigan just might be a little irate at such a flagrant waste of cash? What with recession right around the corner?
Can someone explain to me how this will help the State Democratic Party come election time?

kinda sad
[Read the article: New York Gov. Spitzer resigns]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]but as has been said numerous times, if you set yourself up as a paragon of virtue then you better damn well live up to that image. It's the same with Craig - his homosexuality isn't a problem until he makes his name as an anti-homosexual bigot.
oh well, I wasn't all that comfortable having a Democrat Governor who looked so damn much like Bill Cowher! :)

a baseball analogy for Wes
[Read the article: Florida's House Dems oppose second primary]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]That's a fairly weak argument you're running there. That's like saying The Red Sox wouldn't deserve to be the AL East Champions if they failed to sweep a 4 game series against The Yankees even though they lead the division and the Magic Number makes it mathematically impossible for The Yanks to catch up.
see?

[Read more letters about this article: Here]Well I guess that makes Hillary The Diamondbacks then...cause she sure ain't the Red Sox (there ain't no way she'd ever do a metaphorical Papelbon Riverdance! :)
(and now I suspect we've annoyed pretty much eveyone else on this board - cheers!)

sigh....

[Read more letters about this article: Here]one last time for billcap.
re: texas.
your vote in the primary counts for 2/3rds of your vote, and the caucus represents the final 1/3rd. They are not seperate, discrete events. If you choose not to go to the caucus then you only are credited with 2/3rds of your vote.
Remember you needed to vote in the primary to vote in the caucus, the fact that your candidate's supporters didn't come out to caucus (and thus excercise their full vote) is not the fault of some evil Soviet-Style jiggery...sorry.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]Ummmm...what? Now the caucus is unfair because old people and those with kids can't go? I wasn't aware that each and every Obama supporter was 18-25, and independently wealthy...silly me I guess.
What you are saying in effect is that caucuses aren't fair because Obama's supporters are more engaged and committed. Wow, that's surely not what I'd like my supporters to be.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]Are you alse suggesting that seniors (who are supporting Clinton to huge margins over Obama), those who LITERALLY have nothing else to do...are somehow at a disadvantage when it comes to caucusing??

i agree
[Read the article: Florida's House Dems oppose second primary]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]There have been many valid arguments made here about the Florida and Michigan situations. I think the best solution would be to:
1) halve their delegates - it's a punishment for being tools.
1a) adjust the 2,025 delegate threshold accordingly
2) let Clinton have Florida.
3) Obama should work like mad to get Edwards on his side so Edwards' Florida delegates go to Obama.
4) Caucus in Michigan (cause there's no way you can possibly make the argument that those were fair...there just aren't any)
5) We'll notice that in fact nothing really changes, Floridians are happy (but chastened), Michiganders likewise....and on and on we go.
(although part of me is beginning to suspect that this remains a story for the simple reason that it keeps alive the (incorrect) idea that Clinton still has a chance. So long as CNN can say "but what about Florida and Michigan?" and thus keep their ratings bonanza chugging along)

[Read more letters about this article: Here]"There's no concept of "prayer" in science, after all."
Do you trust your mind? Why? If the mind is formed by evolution, then there's no reason to trust your mind...except to, you know, trust it.
trust = faith.
sorry.
