Wow, you guys are really emotional

I just read the article, clicked on the last letter page and felt like I'd been sprayed with snake venom.

I thought the article was a good, smart one. If hrc wants to keep her possibilities open for a future presidential run she doesn't want to be seen as screwing this one.

Please remember that the primary voters and the caucusers (real word?) didn't vote for a candidate. They voted/chose the delegates who said they would vote for _______ (fill in the blank). So, I would like to see a roll call where the delegates officially declared themselves. Otherwise I'd feel like the results had been decided by the great media cloud. I would like verification that the talking heads know how to count.

I remember back in the olden days where the real decisions were made in the "cigar smoke filled back rooms". I think McGovern was the last time that happened. That was an exciting time. People were in the streets for less than what's happening now.

Remember, the founding dads didn't create a democracy as they felt the common people were too ignorant to choose a president. Gawd, if we had to follow the will of the idiots we'd be in really bad shape....

I digress. I don't think it's the end of the world if we go through the motions of a role call. It'll only be the end of the world if McCain gets elected. Then it'll be time to move out of this country while we're able to....

eh?

No person, company, government, machine should be allowed to or be able to be a voyeur. I don't care what their reason is. If I find that it's convenient to allow any data to be saved about me then so be it. But it has to be an informed consent in a short declarative. Not some ten page piece of crap that is too small and complicated to read. If I'm giving up my first born I want to know about it. Otherwise it's like one of those old movies about trying to deal with the devil. It don't work and you loose...

Original article: The Democrats get religion

ping frisco bunny

You are so right about how the "republicant jesus people" don't have a clue about what it means to be christian. They are the most hate filled people I have run across. I used to joke with a co-worker about her being a violent christian and inevitably was smacked. I would then point out how she had just proven the point.

It would be nice if these jesus freaks would settle down and start to practice thier faith. Perhaps then there would be fewer wars, fewer homeless, fewer deaths in the desert, fewer starvations, fewer genocides, fewer rapes, fewer murders, ad nauseum. If christians actually followed the teachings of christ the world would be a much nicer place.

Instead they seem to hide behind the good man so they can espouse thier bigotry and still feel good about themselves as they go to church on sunday and screw everyone during the week.....

Ye gawds :(

Re: where...?

Geneva?

I hear Sweden is nice. Good health care, nice quality of life, don't have to worry about dying from lack of eats, liberal (kinda). Them winter nights can be a bit long though. I also thought New Zealand would be a wonderful place to live.

Canada is the easiest and they might even give you asylum.....

In response to:

"Mr. Obama didn't win anything. He eeeked and was handed the nomination by the Boys Club Plus Pelosi and Super Thugs. By denying voters and by stealing votes, cutting them in half before counting them and then making the whole after he was given them."

ThinkFast:

I'm thinking you tend to spout instead of read then spout. I do that to when riled. In an earlier post you will have been made aware that your votes didn't elect/nominate anyone except a delegate. The delegate (do you know their name/s?) is the one that votes to decide who the nominee is.

Obama hasn't won the nomination. The delegates haven't voted. It could be Art Linkletter though I doubt it. Check out some history books and learn about past elections and how the delegates have changed the "will of the people". Read a bit about the election process and the party system.

The dnc does make the rules. If you want to modify the rules you need to be an active participant. Go to your local democratic headquarters and get involved. Everyone knew that if florida and michigan changed the primary dates there would be repercussions. Then they changed the dates and there were repercussions. Something we try to teach our children as they grow up....

From before:

Please remember that the primary voters and the caucusers (real word?) didn't vote for a candidate. They voted/chose the delegates who said they would vote for _______ (fill in the blank). So, I would like to see a roll call where the delegates officially declared themselves. Otherwise I'd feel like the results had been decided by the great media cloud. ya, I grew to not like hrc

I never thought she could win a general election. She's too polarizing. People seem to hate her or love her. Most of the country hates her.

It became obvious as time went on that she'd do anything to win the nomination, even tear apart the party. That's when I really turned away from her.

Obama is a leader. He inspires people to believe anything is possible with fresh ideas and faith in humanity.

McCain is falling into senility already. Somebody will be winding him up and pushing him onto the podium before too long. Maybe Rove?.......
