My last Salon blog

You know what? All the liberals on this blog on this blog do is piss and moan, all the radcoms do is snipe.Nobody really tries to change anything. It's political mental masturbation. It's a waste of my time.I'll never know what was next,'cause damn,I'm outa here.

If you really care

Hey I did it, I wrote to my senators,my representative and the President telling them that I want an investigation.Somebody reads this stuff, if enough of us write maybe we can warm things up. There are a jillion things that are happening if you really care about this issue at the very least tell those who depend on your vote about it.

Prod Them

It's shame that we have to prod our elected officials to do their jobs, but we do.Instead of, or as well as, responding here we all need to e-mail our respective representatives, senators and the President and tell them that we want a full investigation to determine who lied and who authorized them to lie to Congress.

Reform the CIA

This is quite a revelation and I hope that it's not like peeling an onion but it probably is.The movie "The Good Shepherd " was chilling, but this is real.It seems that the first thing to do is to determine WHO was lying to congress and begin the procecution process. It is against the law isn't it?From there Panetta should straighten out policy and his employees should comply.Pardon My naivete, but this is America isn't it? As one of my favorite presidents used to say,"We can do better."

Bring on The Trolls,There Ought to Be Trolls

Hey it's good to dive in here early when everybody makes sense. The Wasilla-hillbillies should be a footnote by now but let the radcom creativity begin.I am so embarrassed as an American heading for Europe next month. Ourp politics look like Maury Povich episodes. Thank you Joan, you're a scapper and we need to keep up the fight or they'll be baaack.

Ain't That Grand

It used to be the party of "I got mine" but it's become the party of "Guns,God and gays".The last, meaning "anti" of course. Whatever became of The Grand Old Party?

Are you trying to "swiftboat" me son? VietNam was 40 years ago ,I've done a lot since then,so have all of my friends who are veterans. Are you stuck in the moment like the fictional Rambo(Stillone was in Switzerland for the war) or John Wayne(never served a day in his life)? Most of us, and I would hope the country at large, learn from our mistakes,we don't defend them,we acknowledge them and move on .Iraq was a mistake,Viet Nam was a mistake, and Sarah Palin was a mistake for the Republican Party and for the State of Alaska. She read the teleprompter very well at the Republican convention, from there it was downhill.I can think of a half dozen Republicans that would have been a match for Joe Biden, but she wasn't.God bless this country and the way we select our officials.Coming from Illinois,I'm proud of the fact that a self-taught hillbilly rose to become one of our greatest presidents and that an African American South Side community organizer could become president. But with all of that we get flukes who should have never been there but can be by the virtue of our system. Sarah palin is one of them.By the way, that was The First FIELD Forces, sorry for the typo.

Hey bro' I was in 'Nam too but I can't remember any of us being there to defend American free speech.I'm not ashamed of having served but it was a civil and we were backing a loser. There's a plaque at our local post office thanking Viet Nam and Korean War vets for fighting for our freedoms.Well fight we did but with all of our good intentions, that wasn't what it was about.Like I say, there's nothing to be ashamed of but let's not trump it up like we were at Valley Forge,Iwo Jima or Cholin. We did our best with the best of intentions but we was had.Bless all you serving in Iraq, may you return safe and soon.Bless all you serving in Afghanistan, may you and the good people living there find that son of a bitch and bring him to justice and return home safe and soon.Bless all of you serving anywhere in defense of this country and its ideals.Oh hell, bless us all.

Original article: The un-American way of life

Say it ain't so!

You busted my bubble. I thought that Reagan told Gorbachev "Tear down this wall. " and that was that. What next,Washington didn't chop down the cherry tree?

Senator Al Franken(D-MN)

Al Franken follows the proud tradition of Paul Wellstone,Walter Mondale and Hubert Humphrey in compassion, intelligence,a sense of fair play and of humor.Minnesota and The United States of America will be well served, and I hope entertained.Rush Limbaugh has proven to be even more idiotic than when Senator Franken wrote his book.
