Macaca is better than your macaca...

I guess Allen's macaca only stinks when the audience has a moral conscience. What this implies about those audiences that are/were not offended by his remarks goes without saying.

His apology is, in effect, the same-old neo-con approach that has served the Bush adminsitration well in the past. Have the idoit take full responsability for his action without ever having to be held accountable. Bush will undoubtedly promote Allen into a higher office. Pick a State, any State...

sooth sayer...

"...civil war in Iraq, skyrocketing oil prices, an emboldened Iran and expanding Islamic terrorism." My God, who would have thought Joe Lieberman would be so astute as to describe the obvious. It's as if he thinks no one else is paying any attention. Hello? Joe? Among the many reasons you lost the primary includes your role in helping to make the list a reality. A U.S. Senator? Come on, I hear these same concerns from the grocery bag person while he/she is placing my eggs (thoughtfully)on top. What are you smoking Joe?

Biden his time...

Joe Biden is firmly entrenched in the ruling class of dolts that say nothing but pledge to change everything of import. Americans are looking for a "few good men/woman" to redirect and save us from ourselves. That is a major undertaking that Biden and his ilk have no idea how to do.

Cheney's world...

Cheney said. "But there is a difference between healthy debate and self-defeating pessimism. We have only two options in Iraq -- victory or defeat."

Define victory.

Original article: Rumsfeld rules

propaganda doo-wah...

"Naturally, the common people don't want war, but after all, it is the leaders of a country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag people along whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliment, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. This is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patroitisim and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in every country."

Donald Rumsfeld

No, wait, that was actually said by Hermann Goering, Hitler's Reich-Marshall at the Nuremberg Trials. Now you know where Rummy and Co. get their ideas. Scary eh?

Joe's in the know...

The problem with the "Joes" (among other the other "Annie bat your gums" -lite people)is that Cheney and his ilk don't really like them much at all. Really. I can not imagine the smirks that cross his face when he sees humans bying his rhetoric and then defending his warped vision. Your continued defense of their antics makes you loathe to them at levels you will never comprehend. That's the way their minds work. They play you and your ilk like out-of-tune harps. I encourage you to continue. This way Cheney and Co. can continue to hate you as much as he does your freedom to do so. It increases his hate pool. Good luck. You are going to need it.

Original article: A tale of two presidents?

due face...

He wanted Osama Bin Laden dead or alive and found him much more useful alive...

He wanted to unite and found disfunction much more usefull...

He wanted a democratic Middle east and when the elections didn't go his way he cried foul...

He wanted a united Iraq and is uniformly destroying it...

He wanted to ceneralize power so he had to see out to Cheney and the boys...

There is no tale of two preseidents. Only a two-faced president. Those still believing are as deluded as Joe.

the amazing Curious George

George read today, or was it yesterday? I can't recall.

Reporters always miss the best opportunities for questions with that guy.

I would have asked curious George what Albert ment by that first statement and then to place it into context with the remainder of the book. Also, I would have asked what he would recommend to Laura or for that matter to the rest of us for "great" summer reading. How about "Catch 22"?

You know how the saying goes: For it's one, two, three Shakespears and your out of the ol'...

Allen is a very, very sick, and bigoted man. I feel sorry for clear thinkers in Virginia.

liar, liar...

Who aout there in the right-winged blogging world, wants their personal doctor to lie about their fitness to practice? Come on, be honest...if that's possible. Good, now go vote for him and hope he's unavailable for your vascetomy...

My goodness , Rummy

I am 58 years old. In my entire life I have never heard a more poignant and clearly articulated rebuttal laid to the feet of those who profess intelligence when, in reality, they lack it. Truth to power. Mr. Olbermann I commend you.

Conrad Burns in hell....

Frist of all, where's Joe on this one? I think Laura recommended only two Shakespears to Conrad. I feel soooo sorry for thinking Montana voters. If there are any. They (the three of them) must be crawling in their closet liberal skins..

I'm Bushed...

What's harder to believe is that America would make long journeys across dangerous borders, endure heavy fighting, and blow up thousands of civilians in the streets of Baghdad (Shock and Awe) based on lies, innuendo and fear mongering.

One has to wonder how many fortified bunkers were opened to civilians that night. Bush and Co. created a nightmare and now invites all to perpetuate it. One has to wonder how this man can sleep.
