me no likee (I'll say it again)

It's all been said already; all the technical, aesthetic, and general "I'm disgusted" comments have all been made. I'm just checking in to register my weekly protest and to add my small voice to the chorus baying for this strip's blood.

Hate it. Kill it. It contributes to my weltshmertz and that is not a good thing.

While I'm snarking, I'd just like to say that: this week, the lobsterman has memory problems. Last week, he claimed to remember everything perfectly and said "I'll never forget" or some such line.....

well, okay, that was a tryst with Kansas, or so implied, so maybe that's different (maybe he remembers sex but not violence?), but why does he claim good memory in one panel and practical amnesia in the next????? And Kansas kills/knocks out a guy and then in the next strip she cries 'cause somebody's after her? I mean c'mon, she's a top spy and she CRIES when she's in danger?

Well, with everything else that's wrong with KOF expecting psychological consistency from the characters is wayyyyyy too much, clearly.

Not to mention I'm getting very sick of her weird little face, and she's the only character we see all the time, so her face is important; it's a parody of the blonde bombshell stereotype and all, but it never moves, it's not interesting, it looks like a very creepy doll whose eyes follow you. It's too much of a parody, it has no personality.

I'm going to quit snarking, it's like my weltshmertz--once I get started on it I'll never be able to stop.

Going to go get coffee, and try to forget this ever happened. Ugh. Yuck.

DUH

Of course Muslim women want to integrate to a greater extent than their men do, given the way Islam teaches and overtly encourages the most obscene forms of discrimination against women. If lucky enough to leave, why wouldn't they want to join a culture which gives them greater rights than their own?

However you will never see Broadsheet say this, because apparently feminists are not supposed to say anything against Islam.

However , this study is interesting because it gives the lie to the old "the burqa is just as liberating (or just as oppressive) as the bikini" fallacy. Apparently Muslim women, given the chance, prefer the bikini culture. Because, after all, nobody beats you to a pulp if you neglect to wear a bikini.

Freedom: pass it on.

Gross. Just gross. Shut up already for "the goddess's" sake.

I second the comment that this is like watching people smearing the walls with you know, what comes out of that other hole.

It's stupid and infantile to be so preoccupied with something so basic. Okay, it's a good thing to remove the shame component. But is this really an issue worthy of feminist blogging?

Brit-Brit trots all over town with no damn pants on and a lingerie bottom. She knows what to expect. She isn't making some big feminist statement by doing this.

She's a grown up, she can get help or refuse it, as she likes, and the other so-called grown ups need to get their noses out of her crotch. Christ on a cracker, you people are some sick fucks.

As for the mattress, that's just disgusting, my mattress is fine. It's no wonder feminists get stereotyped as flithy, hairy slags who smell. Apparently some people think this is something to be proud of and trumpet from the rooftops. But they don't speak for me.

As anyone who owns a bitch or a mare knows....

Female mammals do indeed bleed if not bred during their cycles. Cats, pigs, all of them. The quantity does not tend to be as great as with women, and many species are good at keeping themselves cleaned. But yes, they do have "periods", after a fashion.

Just to clear that up for the person on the list who says they don't.

Groping

I have been groped in Pakistan, more than once. I'm not singling out Pakistan. That's just where it happened to me.

Groping or "Eve-teasing" is a huge problem in Pakistan, as is the "hate stare" being directed at women. It's a way for the men to say that women don't belong on the street and should stay indoors and out of their arena of authority--in the case of that country, that would be literally everywhere but the kitchen.

When you create segregated areas for women (always lesser in number and of lower quality than what is available for men), it's a sign that the mentality of the male supremacists is being recognized and legitimized.

Groping is done to put those bitches in their right place. When you actually force women off the bus or off the street, you've won. As with most sexual violence, sex has nothing to do with it.

I'm sorry for the women of Mexico City. But I don't think the segregated buses are the answer. As some have mentioned, the real problem is extreme overcrowding that gives the gropers their ideal environment. Maybe they don't need segregated public buses as much as MORE buses generally?

um, ly, so you'd be willing to...

a)own, and sleep on, a mattress that is soaked in urine, fecal matter, menstrual blood, or other bodily fluids?

b) announce this to the entire world in the name of "feminism"?

I'll stick by my point that this sort of thing is what gives feminism a bad name.

And Broadsheet falls for it hook, line, and sinker.
