where did 18wishes come from...

and why is he talking about a totally unrelated topic?

18wishes, this is not the Bash-Islam-Blindly forum, okay?

If you have anything relevant to say about the issue at hand, please share. If not, save it for some other time.

Tim from Auckland NZ

...yawn.....here we go again....

women in the Muslim world, including in Pakistan and Indonesia, who have been "elected" to high office have risen to power on the backs on the male members of their familial political dynasties. They do not reflect any greater equality of women within the population. In other words, Angela Merkel or Siglione Royal they are not.

Women in Indonesia can be caned in public for "immodesty" or other "offenses". You can google the pictures.

I will admit that both India and Indonesia seem to be moderately better for Muslim women than places like Saudi, but that is because they are polyglot countries with significant non-Muslim populations and partly functioning secular democratic governments. Makes a huge difference. So no, Indonesia is NOT "Islamic" in the way that, say, Saudi Arabia or Sudan is. To answer your question.

I'm not sure what you are arguing here. Sure we have had a few of the slavering Muslim bashers on the thread but generally people have been making pretty good points. What are you espousing exactly, besides the mushy relativist viewpoint that we've all pretty much concluded is dingo kidneys (apologies to Hitchhiker's Guide)?

Super Fugly

and senseless. Since there are giraffes, I will assume they are in Africa. However, the king looks like an evil little Euro-baron, or maybe, with stretching, a Middle Easterner.

The third panel is supposed to do what for us exactly?

Personally, I think the art has gotten worse, not better.

It's evolving every week, but the evolution has not progressed in any direction in particular. They're just trying out different things. Why do they have to do this on our time?

Why is he poking her on the nose? Looks intrusive, un-kingly, and dumb.

Let's make it interesting. Have the king hit on her or something.

Also, it's too big. It wasn't data reduced or something. Making it huge doesn't make it more likeable.

I'll just wait until tomorrow and then read the hate mail. That's the fun part of KOF.

P.S. Hate it. Kill it now. After a couple of weeks even the hate mail won't do it for us.

OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It´s still here.

Last week I thought it was gone, and I was so happy, and I believed in the voice of the people and all that jazz once again. My jaded soul felt elated.

Now all that is shattered. It´s baaaaaaaaaaaaaack.

And it´s uglier and more pointless and more cliche filled than ever before.

Curse you, Salon editors. Curse you. I hope somebody breaks into your houses in the dead of night and cuts all the flowering branches off your geraniums and shaves your cats.

Ugh. I have to go lie down now. The pain is just too great.

P.S. Kill the lame strip now. Pretty please?
