TIGHT SHOE ON THE OTHER FOOT NOW

Well, well, well...Obama supporters are complaining how his Reagan quote has been distorted. Now you know how it felt when you guys played the race card by distorting Bill's 'fairy tale' and Hillary's 'LBJ' comments. This stupid game of taking a word or a sentence and making an issue out of it has to stop--on all sides, including the media.

MEDIA INTERVIEWS MEDIA

I'm always amazed at the limited horizons those cable talking shows offer. 99 percent of the time, the "panel of experts" consists of media people. What makes them experts? Only CSPAN's Washington Journal brings in real experts to talk about particular issues. I would also welcome commentary from real people, thinkers, people not of the Beltway.

Not a single Latino commentator has appeared in any of the main talk shows, when many concur that the Latino voting bloc will be so important in this election.

Also I'd like to see women pundit who are not afraid to offer a women's point of view now and then, instead of bending over backwards trying one of the boys

Obama the uniter?

I would have preferred that Obama confronted the issue of him being or not being a Muslim in a different way. He should have said: "I'm not a Muslim, but if I were it should not be held against me. Like being a Mormon should not be held against Mitt Romney. There are many American Muslims whose children may one day want to run for the Presidency."

Glenn, keep on truckin'. Obama supporters have thin skin. They are spoiled by the free ride the media's given their candidate. Hillary's been dumped on so much for so long, she's developed rhino skin.

Sexist language

I don't mind Obama bringing out Hillaqry's past activities, like being on the board of Wal-Mart, etc. That's part of a political campaign.

What I mind is the sexist language used by journalists and bloggers: "old cow", "corporate hooker", "hag", "witch", "castrating female" and on and on. None of the male candidates receive this kind of insults.

Women are going to surprise the pundits Feb. 5 and in November, as we surprised everyone in New Hampshire...and she'll win Texas thanks to the Latino vote.

Out of context is as out of context does

SpaceLobbyist asks: "Has Ms. Walsh never heard of 'taking statements out of context'? That's what the Clinton ad does. It is pretty clear to me..."

It's pretty clear to me that that's what Obama does and the media do day in day out--take sentences out of context. "Fairy tale" and "MLK/LBJ" were taken out of context and used to ignite the race bonfire of the inanities.

What's good for the gander is good for the goose.

Obama the Untouchable

Why can't Obama be attacked? This is a primary campaign for goodness sake! Candidates attaqck each other, thqt's what they're supposed to do. Why is it anybody can throw anything at the Clintons--including charges of murder--but any mention of Obama's skimpy record is met with charges of racism? That's so racist in itself I can't fathom why people keep doing it without risking a serious backlash at the ballot.

BATTLES OF THE 60s STILL NOT WON

It's thanks to the the 60s battles than an African American or a woman may be our next President. But there are other "battles of the 60s" that have not been won but we should not give up on them, like equal pay for equal work. Women still make less than a man for doing the same work, minority women much less.

TOO LONG POSTS--CUT IT OUT

Joan, I'd like to suggest you limit the word count for comments. Some people go on and on and on. They write comments that are longer than your own posts!

I have news for them: most people don't read long comments. Their attention spans don't allow it. Besides, most anything can be expressed perfectly in about 150 words.

Joe, ignore the hate brigade

The comments section of Salon and HuffPost have been taken over by the Hate Hillary Brigade. In fact, they are at work scaring the media everywhere. A while ago I saw a C-SPAN call in segment, in which not one single pro-Hillary call came through.

This is the most media biased presidential campaign I've ever seen--and I'm old enough to have seen quite a few. It's wall-to-wall Hillary-bashing at CNN, MSNBC, and FOX, 24/7.

Now the right wing has been joined by the Obama wing. I find it amazing that the Obamitas expect everybody to bow out and let Obama get the nomination unchallenged.

What's going on?

Cuntradictions

As a Hillary supporter, I love this post and the ensuing sexist comments. This will only keep fueling the backlash about to be unleashed by women voters (as happened in New Hampshire.)

Women are quietly fuming about the vitriolic, hateful language used to attack Hillary, and we are the majority of voters.

We've fought Male Chauvinist Pigs before and will do it again.

THE RACE-BAITING SEXIST MEDIA WON IN SC

Congratulations Chris, Tucker, Joe, Mika, DAvid, Wolf, Candy et al. You've done it--injecting race into the race qand then blaqming the Clintons for it. Good show. Hope the ratings are worth it.

Joan, don't give up

trying to be fair to Hillary. You are about the only one not joining in the bashing and name-calling. Keep up being fair. You will sleep better and take pride in your journalist ethics down the line, when the Obama fever subsides. What's going on in the media is appalling and it will come back to bite the worst offenders.

Meanwhile, can anybody direct me to any recent stories about Obama's funders and his military service or lack thereof?

She will survive

You can throw the kitchen sink and the Brooklyn Bridge at her, but after the smoke from the Rockobama concert has cleared, she'll still be standing.
