Original article: Obama's delegate roundup

In fact the biggest argument against HRC is...

The campaign. I mean complete mismanagement. Complete spin and playing games with the facts. Constant change of position just to win. The appearance of no real standards. First the primary doesn't count then it does. Completely self serving. No won took this nomination from her. The just out campaigned her.

HRC is the Kerry/Gore candidate. She is the DLC candidate. BO just out played her with a much weaker starting hand. I wish the HRC supporters would just come clean and admit she and her team blew it. No one took it from her they just did a better job.

Any votes from Florida or Michigan are a gift from Obama. It is just plain cheating and intellectual dishonestly to claim she cared before she was behind. If she had supported MI and FL before NH and IA she would have lost and lost bad.

Yes there is sexism out there. Yes there is racism out there. That is the field these two teams came to compete on. She fielded the wrong team.

We don't need another person who fields the wrong team in the white house.

Original article: Gas prices and bicycles

besure to check out NPR and the story on public transit...

Good story on the growth and risks of overloading....

Be a shame if we let the increased ridership fall over from lack of funds and support... Finally moving in the right direction...

where do you get the 4m a day loss number?

That is a very interesting number and I have not seen it before.

Well on one hand the speculators are pushing it up now... but on the other they where artificially pricing it low for the last 50 years.

Oil was being priced for the cost to take it out of the ground not the value of the product. Does anyone really think that a gallon of energy should ever have been close to a gallon of milk? bottled water? I mean considering the cost of a horse to do the work of a unit of energy the price for oil has been mis priced as if it was limit less. Now that it is clear it is not it is being priced as a more valuable asset and we are all thinking...

Well if we had just used less all along... Valued it more earlier it would be less of a mess now....

Original article: Big speech, big venue

Please stop feeding the trolls.

I mean really. You make it look like they are rational and actually part of this discussion. If you ignore them they just look like bots posting random noise.

If you have conversations with them the are just encouraged.

I disagree

If you want to be trusted to run the country your ability to be trusted is relevant. So if you are cheating on your dieing wife it is a valid data point if you want to run the country. Now if you come out and say we have and arrangement then I could careless.

But if you are cheating they you have issues and I don't want you running the country.

Sometimes your personal life and having your shit together is relevant to your job. This is a very particular job he has pursued.

So it is really a question of honesty. Not of whether he has sex with someone who isn't his wife.

Wrong women...

Should have picked Linda Lingle from HI. Would have probably put HI in play and has quite a bit more executive experience. And isn't as loony as this one...

more!

This is great. Why can't we have some damn honesty on TV too?

conservative != right wing nut job

There is a clear argument having conservative forces and liberal forces and rational conversations between them.

We have not seen this argument for a long time. What we have is a power struggle between two organizations that are whiling to do pretty much anything for more power.

What we need is to create a different group that is about rational conversations. A rational Democrat can not work with a Palin or a Bush or a Rove. A rational Republican can not work with some of the crazier Democrates. They seem harder to identify but I believe they are there.

But as long was what we are dealing with the coalition from the other planet the will always try to paint us D's into this other coalition.

The D's are guilty of crossing this line as well. I would be shocked if any politicians real positions are close to anything that comes out of their mouths.

This is what we need to correct. This is where we should spend our time working. It doesn't matter which side wins if we let them determine the game.

That is why we need honesty. Honesty and compromise. But instead we have liberals playing to the center. And conservatives playing to the Christian right. Do you think any of these big money conservatives really believe in god? The people are money driven power brokers and their ain't not god in that equation.

This is so odd what is the point of not?
