It is clear who the times is loyal too... The wealthy elite class. PR is not a conservative tool. It is a tool of control. I recommend you listen to Noam Chomsky's "Propaganda and Control Of The Public Mind".
The times is just playing to it's audience and playing up to it's sources.
It isn't conspiracy it is simply corporate marketing implemented for government control.
It is interesting to wonder where it all leads...
time to cancel your subscription to the times....

Anybody every seen an analysis of the ratings increase for network/cable news during the war? Curious if they really are on the side of the bullet makers...

Just a curiosity... I am sure there is an excitement around war. That they clearly enjoyed during the last round. Maybe it's not financial but a desire to be at the center of attention again...
I guess I am a little odd but I would ask the question this way... How would I expect to be treated in the reverse situation? What would be appropriate?
Then balance that with the bottom line of your needs. What is this situation costing you? How specifically is it infringing on you using the shared space? Is it actually costing you more money?
The express both those chains of thought to the person. If they don't get it you have to consider the more confrontational advice being given.
My guess is they are two caught up in what ever they are struggling with to realize the inconvenience. Perhaps if you point it out gently you can come to some agreement.
I have resisted the iphone for many of your reasons...
But I wanted to share the experience. Having a apple laptop with two finger scrolling, and two finger right click inspire the same thing. Every other track pad is lame afterwards...
So is there a speaker on the ipod touch? Or a microphone?
I assume there is some way to do a factory reset on the thing? The unlock doesn't break that does it?
If there is no factory reset they are insane.
Apple shouldn't fight the unlock. It should just try to save face with ATT. I am sure we are talking about 1-3% of iphone users unlocking....
That would have been the real victory.
What are these comments about? When what we need to discuss it issues that are really important. That would have been a brilliant approach.
That was horrible. I was trying to figure out where the music was coming from for half the time. Then I realized it was your video. It sort of reminded me of the crazy music behind Tom Cruise in the Scientology video.
I don't quite get the angle of this old story here. Is this a mistake?
This is such a horrible myth we are carrying on here. It is so bad for all of us. We don't have to hate the other side. Whether the other side is a candidate, or a party, or the enemy.
It is all so full of fear. This is exactly the game the other side plays. Using fear of the "other" to divide. Neither candidate should participate. The prize isn't worth the result. If they both cared, and I think they do, the end result will be about our success and not our devision.
Neither one of them deserves our votes if they can't come to that conclusion.
We all have instincts about who we like. We should be listening to each others instincts and learning where they are coming from. I want to understand the power of HRC as the first female president and how that draws people in.
My hopes are else where but I understand having a different opinion. And it is good to ask the question how to we take hope and dreams and make them real? Having them is the first start. Having a vision that it doesn't have to be about devision but could be simply about success.
We want a successful party, government, economy and world. We need both the dreamers and the hard workers to get there. We need the whole not the devision. I am so over the electioneering math.
What I would really like to see is some real questions to the candidates. Strong questions about how to win an election, in divided country at war? Then follow up with how to move the country forward? How to get the best people involved? How to make government a place of excellence instead of a place of dysfunction and politics?
How to have a strong economy that reacts to the changing world and is within our values? How to build a reliable safty net? How to have excellent public education to support all this?
These are the real questions. Can Salon spend sometime getting us answers? Lets see the Salon debate about future. About how to win and reach our goals.
Both our candidates share much of the same goals. Let talk about how to get them accomplished and let the beauty contest play out on Fox.
But I still would like more then a blog. I guess that is sort of what this is...
But how about a point with support?

I suppose this is the problem with blog journalism. We get lots of noise but less process.
