  • Easy credit

[Read the article: Countrywide's desperate rescue plan]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

is what made this country great, didn't anyone here see It's A Wonderful Life? What do you wnat to go back to a world where the bankers control everything? Not me pal.

  • "Reporters"

[Read the article: Why not a phony press secretary, too?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Any "reporter" who shows up for these things, has no integrity nor work ethic. It's simply an excuse for not doing the job.

  • The Rockies

[Read the article: King Kaufman's Sports Daily]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

are going to sink back into the suckativity from whence they sprang. They might make the playoffs, hell with this format any team could, but they are not going back to the World Series in my lifetime...

  • The world

[Read the article: Those uncompromising Democrats]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

is not perfect. Things are not always as we would wish them to be. Every election I ever voted in, I had to choose between the lesser of two evils, and if I did not choose the lesser, as sure as the sun rises and sets I was stuck with the greater. We may not like the fact that the Democrats tend to compromise more than the Republicans, but we as Democrats also think that is incumbent on the majority to work with the minority, even though we find them despicable. Just because the Republicans refused to do so when they had the chance, is no reason for us to refuse.

  • When the Bush cult sycophants

[Read the article: Here's what waterboarding looks like]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

decide they have to defend torture, you know the jig is up. With a tip of the hat to John Gailbreath, the end is here for the GOP, it just isn't in sight yet.

  • @ --Anonymous

[Read the article: A rate-cut paradox]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

A less charitable way of putting it - they are lying to make Bush And the Republicans look better. Occam's razor man.

  • Sure, the Patriots

[Read the article: King Kaufman's Sports Daily]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

are cheaters, but that's the way of the world circa 2000-2007. I say, get on board or get run over. They win the Super Bowl going away...

  • Dignity

[Read the article: Why is this man crying?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Was that before or after they were buried alive? Because if after they were already dead, which is fine I guess to treat the dead with dignity, if before I can't see what's dignified about burying people alive...

  • I for one

[Read the article: The Ron Paul phenomenon]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

would love to see this guy get the Republican nomination. The Democrat would win all 50 states, even if it was a ham sandwich...

  • It's probably

[Read the article: 0-for-40 on Iraq? Not quite]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

more like one out of five, if you actually read the bills he is talking about. Hell anyone can say anything they want, since no one (not even Congress) actually reads those things. You can make up anything about them and who is going to argue? The reality is very few of those bills directly tied funding to withdrawal...

  • HELL YEAH

[Read the article: Goodbye, Mr. Bush]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT! Finally someone who gets it.

  • Utah Highway Patrol

[Read the article: Caught on YouTube: Tasered for contesting a ticket]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I used to work for this TV show called Real Stories of the Highway Patrol, and I can tell you Utah's is one of the worst. They take great pleasure in abusing their power. Hopefully this man can sue the State of Utah for at least a million or more over this, if nothing else put the spotlight on these power mad bastards.

  • Old School

[Read the article: King Kaufman's Sports Daily]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Here's a vote to go back to the way it was before the B"C"S.

We had a mythical national champion, and that's the way we liked it.

  • God how I hope

[Read the article: Ron Paul is a baby elephant]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    Paul wins the nomination.

  • Stock Market

[Read the article: The case against homeownership]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Most people actually lose money in the stock market. For every stock market millionaire, there are a million people who lose a dollar. So the argument that "I could invest in the stock market and make money" is a false hope perpetuated by the one guy that makes the million dollars off of a million suckers. The best advice I can give is, buy a home, a townhome, a condo, anything just to get started. You can trade up as your equity increases over time.

  • The needs of the one

[Read the article: Microsoft kills Vista's anti-piracy kill switch]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

outweigh the needs of the many. This happens in all walks of life, not just at Microsoft. 6,000,000 people have to follow a silly rule because of the actions of one, and the rule making authority is too lazy to nail the one so it punishes all 6,000,000.

  • @anonymous

[Read the article: Mike Huckabee's Willie Horton]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

"DuMond was in prison for raping," just leave it at that you inbred cretin, Clinton had nothing to do with it. Unlike you, his distant cousins are not also his siblings.

  • @ ajbuckle

[Read the article: Quote of the Day]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

You are being sarcastic, right? It's hard to tell...

  • I for one

[Read the article: King Kaufman's Sports Daily]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

love it when obscenity is used in a creative fashion to denigrate management, which it sounds like to me is what this is. It is probably not from the head office, but something created by the clubhouse jester. Well done boys...

  • Deutsche Bank

[Read the article: Calculating the damage done by Crisp & Cole]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I read in the LA Times (I think) that a federal judge in Ohio (again I think) ruled that some 30 homes could not be foreclosed upon, because the way the mortgages were packaged and sold to Deutsche Bank resulted in Deutsche Bank not actually having the right to the property, only to the income stream from the mortgages. I would love to see How The World Works take a look at this...

  • Reagan

[Read the article: Fact-checking Rudy's testicular toughness]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

is dead and more and more people see the evil he personifies with each passing day. This ploy may help Rudy with idiots over the age of 50, but that's not going to be enough idiots to put him over. He is done. Put a fork in him. Romney will be the nominee.

  • OFF TOPIC

[Read the article: King Kaufman's Sports Daily]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Is there anyone else here who thinks that baseball should just wipe out the last 15 years or so of their history? A clean break, not really fair to the clean players but I suspect not many are...

  • My guess is

[Read the article: The credit rating house of cards]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    Assured Guaranty is anything but...

  • Does anyone know

[Read the article: Anatomy and significance of Monday's FISA victory]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

is there anything to stop the Democrats from voting Reid or Pelosi out? Or do they have to wait until the next Congress.
