I want a dictator wearing the cloak of populism for President

We need a change and I think a fascist riding on the chariot of 'popular will' is just the thing we need. Leftists always see an acceptable level of atrocities in revolutions and right wingers don't really care either way as long as it's not them getting sent to the camps.

Maybe we should elect a dog to the Presidency

We clearly as Retardo-Americanos care more for pets than for people. I remember when a candidate had to prove his nanny wasn't an illegal slave. No one cares about that now. Now he has to prove he worships Dog.

Bloggers are like having NO immigration laws

And perhaps that's the best way to 'fix' immigration. Simply make everyone a card carrying citizen the moment they set foot on American soil (adjusting for criminals etc...). That way everyone is tagged, taxed and fed into the system. It doesn't matter if they are employable or speak English in fact it would be better initially if they didn't that way they would drive the cost of legal labor down to the minimum wage faster and this would have a tendency to suppress subsequent immigration as labor opportunities dry up. In either case the legals are going to earn more or at least as much as illegals, the get a social security card and no one can complain they're 'takin ur jurbs!!'

According to your world, the shhoter in the house is guilty,

Sometimes yes. The 'Spring Gun Case' is something that every single law student in the US has to study. It used to be, back in age of Reason that you had to be fighting off an immediate threat to your life and limb. Today that's morphed into "Stand and Deliver" laws in 17 states which more or less say that you can walk down the the street with your CCW and shoot whomever you like if you believe or claim you believed they were 'threatening' in some vague way.

And maybe that's the way it should be. Maybe everyone should be allowed one free murder. I'm good with that.

Sportswriters elect HoF membership, not the league

Not the owners, not the fans, not other players. It's sportswriters and at that it's essentially still print sports writers.

And all the opposition to the war has accomplished what, exactly

You can all sit there shaking your tiny fists at Allah all day but all the so called righteous angry opposition to the war hasn't actually accomplished thing one to end it.

My future?

Wait let me catch my breath. I'm laughing too hard.

Your righteous banner waving Marxist trolls manufacture SHIT. It's SHIT. It's unwatchable garbage that only gets worse with every passing season. If they never came back to work it could only work out for the better. That way TV would just collapse under a pile of gameshows until no one watched at all and they all went back to trading blowjobs for crack.

What's obvious is that what separates this admin from many others

Is that they have the blundering bad luck to assume no one would care that they got caught. But as far as being materially different in its intent or scope in spying on us I doubt it's far removed from any other administration. The 'x' factor today is not who or where or why or how much - it's the level of technical sophistication available to them and to all who come after, to do this sort of thing. Back in the bad old days of J. Edgar - they relied on human assets and crude phone taps for the most part. And their records were paper. They were limited only in their technical ability. Similarly in East Germany, upwards of one third of the populace spied on the other 2/3rds for the Staasi. Big inefficient manpower problem. We're just a lot more cost and labor efficient than that. I'm sure that this experience has been very telling for anyone who's in the business and they'll work to avoid detection all that much more.

I think it's pathetic and telling

That Salon loves and kvells endlessly about the same 6 horse operas over and over and over and over and over and now that they are on 'hiatus' that the only alternative is to watch sex sock puppet theater on YouTube. Face it kids - your favorite shows e.g Lost, Heroes - are barely written down as it is. Mostly they're just scribbled down teases that toss in more characters, space aliens and drunken inside jokes each week to string you along. They don't start, go or end anywhere.

Rest assured though that since you folks love the non-story, the same people who do that are bringing you 'Cloverfield' in the movies next month. It's got everything - endless jittery hand held shots, poor lighting, "real people" doing real stuff - e.g trying to flirt with one another, and/or do drugs during a disaster. Plus it's got a plot no one understands or can talk about and it's 100% tease - Blair Witch meets the OC meets Deadwood meets John From Cincinnati meets Godzilla meets Surreal Life.

I just watched the original "Manchurian Candidate" it still blows the wheels off every major movie released in the US in the last 5 years. It's still better than anything pulled out of JJ Abrams ass.

I'm reminded of Hitchcock's "Frenzy"

The part where Barry Foster rapes the travel agent (Barbara Leigh-Hunt?) then strangles her with his necktie. You DO understand that it's black humor old Alfred is going for?

Nothing about or on Salon

Is even vaguely inspiring anymore. It's just devolved into snarling pile of suck.

Smell the hypocrisy

when I flick on the tube and see Hillary or Christiane Amanpour wrap their heads in $1500 Hermes scarfs in order to fit in with skimask assholes and the mother of the latest suicide bomber as they ululate and screech how some American and/or Jew is committing genocide. And those same people come home and have the fucking gaul to preach to westerners how that same posing is oppression. Please bang your worthless heads against the wall until the white matter comes out.
