the perfect solution to high level atomic waste

Is to bury it under the poorest people you can find. By the time they get around to suing you in court everyone is dead. It's a win win all around.

What you didn't see any of the 367 directors cuts of Blade Runner?

They're BOTH Replicants.

Original article: The godawful GOP debate

You asked for kitsch you got kitsch

The whole dancing animated prarie dogs asking inane questions of anyone, is, inane. I guess it's supposed to bring people to the show to watch but what else do you expect? It was no different with the retardonauts during the Dem YouTube 'debate' either.

Anyway YouTube is so 5 minutes ago. We need to have 'debate' right in Second Life.

anyway we've seen this all before

It was called The Gilded Age. The rich people had their Edith Wharton and everyone else had Upton Sinclair.

Norway is an odd country, regulation wise

This year the national pension fund raised a ruckus by refusing to invest in any Norwegian companies that provide any goods and services to Norway's own armed forces because the by laws of the pension fund prohibit investments in these warfighting operations. Of course, most of the money of the national pension fund comes from Norway's own oil which I'm sure sells something to Norway's armed services as well. So essentially they're embargoing themselves in violation of NATO treaty.

Sometimes feel goodism trumps common sense.

How do you compute that comrade?

Imputed income is a huge piece of EU salaries. Upper middle managers are typically not compensated with money but with non cash services and benefits like a car, a housekeeping service, a nanny, free private school tuition. Because of the high taxes.

Original article: Giuliani's terrorist ties

So any country where there are any people who hate America is a terrorist state?

Like the offices of Salon? How about Paris? The Philippines (some real terrorists there). Or Caracas, Bogota, Damascus?

And yet Salon is the first group to jump up and scream "Xenophobe!" when anyone objects to the country of Abu Dhabi running our ports?

Original article: Not asked, not answered

What kind of answer were you expecting?

Honestly, this is politics not an intervention.

Original article: Giuliani's terrorist ties

And yet any screaming mullah in the US

With cries of Death to America and who sends money to Hezbollah you defend on 1st ammendment grounds, and call any investigation a witch hunt. How does that work again?

Original article: The filthy, stinking truth

MRSA

It's a 2 edged sword now. A generation of clean feakism begat MRSA and now you have to be extra careful not to get dirty lest you die.

Original article: "Doesn't Add Up"

A President having an affair is unfit for office

Hmmm..where have I heard that before. Oh yes, Warren G. Harding.

and Clinton.

Please stop with the black t-shirt tear gas throwing

It has nothing at all to do with 'being held hostage'. Google runs something like 750 data centers world wide. In many of those places they are a major if not the largest local power consumer. As such major customers get all sorts of rebates. But what Google is worried about is capacity. Capacity - the availability of power when they need it. That's a much bigger problem.

The other problem, almost as critical is redundancy. Redundancy - the ability to spool up all or part of another power supply when the primary supply is curtailed in part or in whole.

The third problem is that Google has, today, a DC in a box. Literally, a dumpster sized steel crate that is a self contained DC they can wheel up practically anywhere. The problem as always is access to power. Portable power is bigger than the DC itself.

Please leave your insane retarded politics at the door and stick to the econometrics of engineering solutions. Thanks.

I know it (only) happened down here in South

But Edwards campaign HQ in Chapel Hill has been vandalized twice including a small fire.

I know Salon knows this, they just choose to ignore anything that isn't firmly attached to Hillary's ass.

Salon runs the risk of starting a whole beleaguered cult of personality around Hillary and if she does win the big vote, Salon will be the vanguard of Hillary's populist storm troops in the streets bashing in the heads of all dissidents.

Ok so I will call all your friends to let them know everyone else you call

If you don't like that, don't use the phone. OK? works for me. Then I'm going to sell your library lending records to Amazon. If that's a problem for you, stop reading.

I'm glad we're on the same page.

I've never really understood that line

Someone offers you a service, they change it to harm you and the response is do without. So why bother at all? Why drive on roads that have tolls? Why use email if they're going to read it? Why fly if they're going to read your personal info.

Ok I get it, there is no such thing as the difference between me and the corporation me and the state. Not only shouldn't I expect that, I should expect to happily live a diminished life w/o all those services because in the end, tearing down that wall between me and the rest of the world is something I can't avoid by tagging along.

I WANT lojack tracking me. I want Amazon catloging every search. I want that stuff because w/o it I won't have roads or books. I want to be turned into a product used to sell products to other products. That is good for me because w/o it I won't have the same life as all the other people.

Allright then. I'm with ya. Put my RFID chip in and shock me when you want me to buy a smoothie.
