It's worthless...People are used to local news caption interference. And there wasn't anything coincidental or funny about this promo on Lost. Do chimps run the video dog? Anyone who writes in praise of this feature is a fawning dick with no clue.

Nancy Kerrigan didn't say anything funny or incriminate herself. Maybe I just don't get it. She's no good in front of the camera. So what? Must be the douchebags at Salon. There is no value to it except what bourgeois women ascribe to it.
Who is Ayelet Waldma? An idiot? A privileged bastard with close acquaintance to an imposter? A reporter with no questions worth the asking? "Gee shucks who the mutha fucks are you" Gee shucks if you say so, then I guess your PTSD fantasy sans verification is a noteworthy part of this larger spectacle of bullshit and victimhood.
In a way I'm glad the establishment was duped. In a way I wish the establishment would swallow its own tongue.
I'm writing this as the raped and serially abused daughter of a dead coalminer who used machine guns and greyhound buses for grocery shopping. Fuck Salon and Laura Miller and Ayelet Waldman. You are dilletantes' hors d'oevres and nothing more. With your purple prose and dumbass high brow split foreheads, bleeding for acceptance, "Oh how JT Leroy with his trappings cleaned out my dirty ears!" The stories weren't that interesting without the context?" No they weren't. Only with a dalliant purple cock held to my head did the silly bitch imposter convince me.
I knew JT Leroy was a fake, but I kept it zipped, because I'm a brave jouralist.
Man, would that disclaimer have saved Frey a bunch of trouble. Oprah Winfrey is the real villain here.
Frey's book was featured in Harpo's club because it's a captivating tell-all tale of addiction, crime, and self-creation, so they say. Oprah has more to do with the book's success than Mr. Frey, even though he's the one who wrote it. Oprah could popularize my laundry list if she put it on her couch. And I'd be a rich man.
There's enough gray area with expunged records and agenda-driven cops and correction officers, and enough hilarity to be had at the expense of duped literary dilletantes who feel oh so scandalized that creative license be used in a memoir - that we should all take great satisfaction in the blurring of truth and falsity and hope that Frey gets away with his millions if not also his credibility as an author.
Frey claimed 21 arrests. Smoking Gun found ONLY 14 mugshots. Therefore Frey is lying. Expunged records?
TSG interviewed at least two cops with direct access to Frey's records. One small town precint station that couldn't find his file claimed 'we never throw out records' - really? Or you're just saying that because you were asked by a reporter?
TSG for all their great photos of Michelle Rodriguez - ought to at least pen a byline on their muckraking expose extraordinaire, lest they come off like a bunch of yackoffs. The burden of proof is on the muckrakers and the duped dilletantes. The court of public opinion has already awarded James Frey millions. A hit parade like this can only be spoiled by Frey or Oprah, and that is unlikely. The blogosphere will soon smother the duped dilletantes and Proprietors of Truth in Literature.
Traister kicks up the dust only then to complain that she can't see. Hirshamn is extreme in the way of rhetorical self-correction to a worthy movement, while Brooks is extreme in making academic observations that ninety percent of the populace (which equals one percent of his crusty audience) have no practical experience with for comparison.
Husfwifery is neither good nor bad, only more suitable for some households and relationships than others who are supposedly more advanced and liberated by whatever nebulous standards 'feminism' has managed to shake from its dying tree of political relevance.
I won't dwell on how her article is practically unreadable as a series of incongrous quotations, but Traister fails to acknowledge the combination of laptops and legal defenses that could give a broader justification for a senescent ideology of 'feminism' on the basis of labor theories of value and institutionalized rape in a society rife with academic freedoms and firearms. Consider this proposition another extreme.
I was raised by my 1920s no-high school graduating birth certificate-lying civil rights marchin' Grandma whose brothers raised horses and died in the coalmines and grew pot and made moonshine, so I missed out on the feminizing generation of wage-earning mothers in the 60s, so my bad for the harshness.
Ate the box before ever getting laid and care more about justice than a collection of postmodern 'isms' that seem for no other purpose than to revive nostalgia at the cost of hope. Just remember children will take the reins one day. If you can't make sacrifices, then you shouldn't have children.
It's good to wish the worst on the world in the present if not only to self-correct for the future. That's why wishing bad things happening to the US is a good thing if it leads to the impeachment of George Bush. The continual suppression of democracy and the hog-tied Congress viz. NSA spying et al will only be made clear in the national conscious if terrible things keep happening, and if they do, then the target of blame is clear - Bush. It's in the interest of future generations to punish the current abuses of power, unless we prefer them to be viewed as precedent long after our time. When China and Russia and Iran might have a lot more to say about our miscalculations. Punish the executive branch now, Fate and Law.
