so, in other words

You have written thousands of words on a couple of second hand accounts of French newspapers you apparently can't read and declared that Polanski is being held up as a "big hero". Actually, absolutely everything I'm reading about him stateside is critical. I know it's convenient as a writer to portray yourself as battling against the tide, but you really aren't here. Really.

you know what's pretty much the definition of intellectual irresponsibility?

Saying that the entertainment industry, without qualification, has been defending rape. Come on. I cannot understand Broadsheet's inability to a) condemn a horrific and b) not act like a bunch of shrieking tweens at the same time. This has been a really low moment for this blog, in terms of honesty, restraint and intelligent commentary, during this whole imbroglio.
