  • Pundits in the Business of Justifying Their Opinions

[Read the article: Obama, get ready for the "Clinton rules"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Doesn't that seem to be the media? We don't even bother calling them journalists anymore.

Notice almost all the so-called media political pundits worked on campaigns rather than newspapers?

It's like our media is soaked with lobbiests and wannabes or nearly-famous-at-one-times, or almost was's, or once was's.

It's like they are all interviewing for jobs with the next-in-powers.

NO, people don't want the constant gossip. That is how Bill Clinton remained popular IN SPITE of the scandels. It is not the public who impeached Bill Clinton, it was Congress with the media's help.

  • If you don't get it now...

[Read the article: "She's not as bad as you think"]

I feel similar exhaustion to that felt after years of chronic Bush support.

As an Obama supporter I have justified ad nauseum my reasons, declared indignation at charges of sexism (being exactly the woman-type Hillary should be capturing), and read with puzzlement the twisted arguments of Hillary supporters that Obama support is the result of some sort of personality flaw.

I understand some of those that just flip one-line insults after some of the arguments like that. Why waste time justifying decisions if there is no real interest, but at the same time, why let insults slide by?

There is nothing constructive left to say. If you don't get it by now, I doubt some of you ever will.

(At the risk of redundency, I am posting an almost identical post here that was elsewhere....)

The same "personality flaw" type of politics has permeated our Democratic Primary season. Only it takes the name-calling of the Ninties toward said politician, and includes the name-calling of supporters of said politician which became so popular in 2000, until now everyone is fair game to be personally insulted, usually associated with a personality disorder.

    Modern Politics....

    Views as Disorders.

    Trivia as Issues.

Never seen loud rude crude Obama supporters.

Have you considered moving out of your neighborhood?

  • Pertinent Questions

[Read the article: Debating the debate, complaining about complaining]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Senator Clinton, as a quasi-member of President Clinton's cabinet, what steps did you take to make sure your employer did not lie under oath or was impeached?

How did you protect the whistle-blowers?

Why is your marriage nobody's business, but someone's paster is everyone's?

Why didn't you return to Arkansas?

Thank you for posting that link about Moveon. I don't always agree with Moveon.org but who was actually fighting da Machine in 2006? MOVEON! Their endorsement of Obama came BECAUSE he was a grass-roots phenom, they didn't actually CAUSE the grass-roots phenom, although they (and Dean) may have been the inspiration. (I didn't agree with them endorsing Obama by the way, I thought they should have remained neutral, but just like Hillary Clinton to blame them for her own ineptness.)

Another reason to celebrate when the fork declares the doneness of Madame Wannabe.

7 Say what strange motive, Goddess! could compel

    8A well-bred Obama t' assault a gentle belle?

9O say what stranger cause, yet unexplor'd,

10Could make a gentle belle reject a lord?

11In tasks so bold, can little men engage,

12And in soft bosoms dwells such mighty rage?

    THE fog comes

    on little cat feet.

    It sits looking

    over harbor and city

    on silent haunches

    and then moves on.

Others however, just practice being their own person and do their best to understand others' perspectives.

I'll take the same ol same ol who talks pretty over the same ol same ol who talks ugly, introduces flag burning amendments and voted for the war.

Choices seems pretty clear cut doesn't it?

Actually, Obama did a major speech in response to the Wright flap.

It was well covered but you may have missed it.

I sure you can get a transcript.

  • To Maureen ODonnell

[Read the article: Will Obama's debate stumble hurt him?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Rush was born in Albany, Georgia, was educated at Roosevelt University, the University of Illinois and McCormick Theological Seminary (all in Chicago), served in the United States Army from 1963 to 1968, was a co-founder of the Illinois chapter of the Black Panther Party, and was an insurance agent and member of the Chicago City Council before entering the House. He is a member of the Congressional Black Caucus.

In the 2000 Democratic primary, Rush defeated challenger Barack Obama, who was subsequently elected to the U.S. Senate in 2004 [1]. On July 15, 2004, Rush became the second sitting Congressman, after Charles Rangel, to be arrested in as many days for protesting human rights violations at the Sudanese Embassy in Washington, D.C.

    -----------------------

That is from Wikipedia. I suppose anyone who had anything to do with Rush, a former Black Panther, is also out of the question....

You might want to read up on U.S. history before feeding your paranoia.
