@Aycharaych
[Read the article: Who cares if Eliot Spitzer hires prostitutes?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]That is why I posted "I wish." Personally, I am more inclined to give a pass to a beat cop than to a Governor (barring of course, things like beatings and such...) Bigger job, bigger visibility, bigger responsibility, bigger stakes for the rest of the population.
I wish people with that sort of visibility had better judgment than to put themselves in a position where the voting population needs to judge them one way or another due to all things, a sex scandel. It is unfair to the voting population who did not ask to be placed in that position.

[Read the article: Who cares if Eliot Spitzer hires prostitutes?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]"I disagree, when the voting public votes for those who hold themselves out as morally straight they are indeed asking to be put in the position of having the straight arrow implode dramatically."
Not living in NY, I don't know what Eliott Spitzer's line was regarding morality but it does appear his charge was to enforce the law. I don't think it is asking too much for the public to expect law-enforcers to not break the very laws they are charged to enforce. We are then lowering the bar to meaninglessness.
"It's been my experience in life that those who most often and vociferously promote their own "morality" are usually those who have an entire boneyard in their closet. The Republicans are rife with such people and the Democrats are trying hard to catch up with them."
I agree that is often the case.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]When I say law enforcement I meant in the political arena, not the cops.
I am not sure what your point is actually can you clarify it for me? What responsibility does a public official have to uphold the law?

[Read the article: Who cares if Eliot Spitzer hires prostitutes?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I was not asking about your civics background nor for a government lesson but your own opinion which is unclear to me as it appears you were holding the voting public more responsible than the government who is in charge of law enforcement. However, that is OK, I don't need any further clarification, thanks.

the Race card...
[Read the article: Clinton campaign manager congratulates Obama on Mississippi win]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Was Geraldine Farraro always that nuts? HRC's limp "distancing" dragged the Obama campaign right in with that screed. (It's YA'LL TOO!) How magnanomous.
Every nasty thing the Clinton campaign and her surrogates throw out get attached to the Obama campaign. Right out of the Right Wing playbook. What poison.
Obama has the support of almost every white Democrat I know. I am not just talking about whites in Illinois, but also around the country including NE, TX, (two states were I know for a fact some traditional Republicans are anxious to vote Democrat but will not vote for Hillary), FL (same case), MI, CA. That includes all ages, most economic classes and THEY know people including the white children of sharecroppers in their seventies. Hardly a traditional voting bloc.
This is why Obama was encouraged to run in the first place. People's instincts were HRC was close to unelectable and we can't afford another loss because some Democrats can't conceive that the Presidential Nomination was not reserved for Hillary Clinton's promotion. What arrogance.

[Read the article: Florida's House Dems oppose second primary]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Do not get baited.

[Read the article: Florida's House Dems oppose second primary]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]That actually is not a bad idea and it puts the ball back on the MI and FL voters to hammer those new "superdelegates."
However it also gives MI and FL much more power than everyone else as the 2 candidates end up in a position of having to make promises to superdelegates who are not really accountable to the voter wishes.
------------
Regarding a mail vote, FL and MI can construct a mailing that takes a 10% sample and THEY decide, not the entire voter population. That would be easier to control, and much more fair.
Or chose a 10% sample of registered dems in both states and they get to vote "live".
--------------
Better yet, the Dems in FL and MI should STAND DOWN on this.
Or, the Superdelegates and all other delegates need to take a stand NOW.
---------------
It just gets better and better.

[Read the article: Florida's House Dems oppose second primary]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]It's floating around somewhere maybe someone would be good enough to find it for you, but HRC stated there was no reason to remove her name from the ballot because the Primary didn't count anyway. Meaning, it was a moot point.

So let me get this sraight....
[Read the article: Florida's House Dems oppose second primary]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]TX awards delegates via a caucus process that rewards Democratic votership. The deeper the Democratic vote penetration, the more delegates the area is rewarded, ensuring that the most consistent Party voters get the biggest representation.
This is bad how exactly?

Care about their marriage?
[Read the article: Misadventures in logical reasoning -- and lessons learned from the Spitzer scandal]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]MR. SPITZER dragged his wife out in front of the media and put her on display. The PUBLIC did not beat on her door and demand her response.
She gave it freely. You know, just like an adult prostitute with the goddess given right to make his own decisions.
Right? Adults making decisions?
If Mr. and Mrs. Spitzer are going to play the media game, I don't understand why everyone else is supposed to turn their heads in embarrassment. Some people like garish media displays.
For the record, I don't care about their marriage. I'm glad that is not my governor. I have however, posted about the bizarre ritual of the wife-drag-after-the-sex-scandel stage routine.
Sympthay is exactly what is supposed to be evoked by that display. Which is a pathetic beg to speculate on the strength of their marriage.
