  • I love Salon because it's so... balanced? Fair?

[Read the article: The crazy uncles in Obama's attic]

Thank you, Mr McClelland, for bringing this indept article about a very disturbing figure in Barack Obama's past. Yes, it should be looked at closely and scrutinized because, after all, this may well be our next President and it is important to know who his associates are.

I look forward to your article next week when you will publish, in the intereste of fairness, another column detailing Hillary's "crazy uncle".

I will await with baited breath to see who you will pick: Mark Rich? Webster Hubbell? James Riady?

Wait! How about Norman Hsu? I mean, who could possibly be crazier than him, right?

Well, whoever it is, I'm sure you'll do an equally superb investigative piece of journalism!

I'll be sure to hold my breath!

  • Good, now let's see you do Hillary...

  • So... we are the problem, correct?

[Read the article: Rev. Jeremiah Wright isn't the problem]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

"Wright isn't the problem. Stupid patriotism is the problem."

    ... then...

"This isn't a brief for Wright. I'm not a fan of Sharpton-style black demagoguery, with its knee-jerk grievance and identity politics."

Here's the perception your article gives me: You start by defending Wright then blasting him so that you can swing your argument around to point a finger at... us: The American Citenzenry... at least those of us who love this country too much, anyways.

Now, please note I'm voting Obama.

But, if someone had made the argument you just made to me prior to me making up my mind, Obama would not get my vote. Period.

I'm sure I'm not alone with this thinking... and please feel free to refer to us as "narrow-minded idiots"... it certainly can't be any worse than your article, Gary.

  • I agree, Alex!

[Read the article: Clinton tells the truth]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Hmmm... yes, Alex, I believe I see your point.

I, too, can't possibly understand why *anyone* would rather believe some lowly, insignificant, nobody hospital administrator rather than a 'PROMINENT DEMOCRAT'.

Hmmm... let me think... why would they *not* believe her... thinking... thinking... thinking....

WAIT!! IT JUST CAME TO ME!!!! Ok, now just bare with me... maybe it's because her 'Sniper Story' was exposed as a complete fabrication and, after being exposed, she went on a nationally cyndicated tv show to make a joke out of it... which is essentially the same as calling the American People a bunch of idiots for believing her.

Could that be it, maybe? Or am I just talking crazy?

Hmmm... no, maybe it's just media bias (read Hilary haters).
