You've come a long way, baby...
[Read the article: The witch ain't dead, and Chris Matthews is a ding-dong]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]After getting the right to vote, the bra burnings, sexual harassment laws, sexual discrimination laws, reproductive rights, and so forth, women are finally starting to get an equal footing in our society on many levels, both in the private sector as well as the public sector.
And we have now a viable female candidate who has a chance at winning the POTUS.
So, what happens when the competition gets heated? What happens when she finds herself in her first political, all-out knock-down battle?
She cries for the cameras. And it actually works!!
Hurray for Feminism!!!
Way to go Hillary!!!
You go, Girl!!!

A New Day in American Politics....
[Read the article: The witch ain't dead, and Chris Matthews is a ding-dong]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]A presidential candidate cries on camera... AND WINS THE ELECTION!!!
OMG!! Feminists everywhere must be really proud!!! After years and years of fighting for equality, fighting to be treated equally... and finally, they have a viable woman candidate for POTUS.
Then, in a critical moment, a due or die moment, she has to think fast... hmmmm, what should she do?
Oh wait! I know... START CRYING FOR THE CAMERAS!!!
AND IT WORKS!!!
Man, I can't wait till she's in office and has her first showdown with Congress... or better yet, another country on the verge of war.
I'm so proud to be an American right now!!!

You have completely lost your mind...
[Read the article: My husband and I are fighting bitterly over our failing restaurant]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]You are engaged in a drama that trumpts all other dramas, the stuff that major movies and major novels are made of... except it is your life that hangs by a very thread.
And what do you do?
You write to an advice columnist and his readers for help.
No wonder your business is failing. This is just completely nuts.

Memo from Sen. Clinton:
[Read the article: Bill Clinton looks backward]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Be sure, whenever anyone says anything not positive about our struggle, to post the words "Clinton Bashing" or "Bill Bashing" or "Hillary Bashing" as many times as possible!!
Make sure you do everything to discourage any criticism by using the word "Bashing" so that everyone will think that any critics of our campaing are just baised against us and therefore their opinions should be dismissed w/o any merit.
Remember, we cannot be shrill enough!!!
Now, go and win me my election, dammit!!
-- insert hysterical screaming here ---
Love,
Hillary Clinton

Sure, Joan, that makes sense...
[Read the article: Making sense of Super Tuesday]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]"But could media adoration wind up hurting Obama?"
Absolutely, if by "hurting Obama" you mean helping him win the Democrat nomination and thereby eventually "saddling" him with the U.S. Presidency.
Or, if you switch the words "Obama" with "Hillary", giving us "hurting Hillary" instead.....
You really have to love Joan Walsh. Sometimes, I don't think she realizes how transparently plastic this woman is. I'm willing to bet her closest friends are named "Barbie" and "Ken".
You go, girl!!!

2-way street
[Read the article: Making sense of Super Tuesday]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I love how so many posters for Hillary will Obama-bash for his supporters extoling his moral superiority while, in the same breath, attempt to marginalize him for his "thin-resume", meaning his lack of experienced compared to Hillary Clinton.
It is hilarious how they don't seem to get it. So let me spell it out for you guys so you dont' keep making fools of yourselves:
THE REASON OBAMA CAN EXTOLE MORAL VIRTUE OVER HILLARY IS BECAUSE HE HASN'T BEEN PLAYING THE GAME AS LONG AS HILLARY.
It's gut-bustingly funny watching Hillary supporters dance around Hillary's moral dilemas and attempting to dismiss any critizism of them by labeling her critics as "Mean-spirited attacks" or "Clinton Bashing".
Note that the Obama camp has yet to employ such a "strategy". Until he does, he has my support.

Asking the media to be fair to Clinton...
[Read the article: Making sense of Super Tuesday]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]... is like asking Bill the definition of "is".

@ncawley
[Read the article: Making sense of Super Tuesday]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Yes, I'd have to totally agree with you. Let me itemize just where we agree:
"I have been on all of the political sites and cannot believe what some of these supporters think about women"
Sure, like I've been to ALL the Hillary sites (ever made, in the entire universe, just like you), and every single one of them have nothing but goodness and love for all black men.
"I really think the media has pushed Obama and is still doing it today."
Like they've never, EVER done for Hillary, right? Right on, Sister!!
"I am very upset that they feel it is the obligation of America to vote for him and they will go to great lengths to put down what they call the 'unemployed housewife' and the 'little old ladies'. I am very dissapointed in his supporteres and their statements, which are always negative."
Gosh, yes... why can't Obama supporters be more positive and high-minded like... oh, I dunno... Hillary Supporters? You know, like the HIllary-posters on this thread, right?
"I am also very dissapointed in Obama, since he was the one to allow this negativity towards women."
Yes, gosh-darn that Obama for hating women. Doesn't he realize that Hillary could've also said something deragotary about race... oh, wait... she did, didn't she? Um, never mind....
Anyway, I still agree with you that Hillary should be viewed as the victim and Obama is the evil black man looking to encroach on her God-given right to become our first female president.
You go, Girl!!

[Read the article: Making sense of Super Tuesday]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]You, sir, are my hero.
"And by the way, please don't talk about Obama's diction, until you watch Aunt JaHillary in front of a black audience, where she puts on a phony southern black accent. Obama actually is a black man. Hillary's attempts to be folksy are painful to watch... she could only do worse in black face!"
It's funny, because when I was watching it, I actually *did* imagined her in black-face.
Anyway, this one has my vote for Post of the Month.
Thank you, Sir.

@zoetrope1
[Read the article: Making sense of Super Tuesday]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Wait, I have new strategy for us Hillary supporters. Check this and see if it pops:
Whenever anyone says anything critical about our gal, Hillary, try to portray them as ultra-biased "Hillary Bashers"... NO MATTER HOW ARTICULATE THEIR ARGUMENT IS!!!
And use clever and snappy posts, ok?
Tell me what you think, zoetrope1!
