Am I missing something? Isn't this piece satirical? Considering Kamiya wrote a column a few months ago about the Obama-as-terrorist New Yorker cover accusing the Left of being humorless and unappreciative of cryptic satire, I'm sure he's finding all these comments very, very satisfying.
That was a very well written, politically-correct column. And it was also completely without factual basis.
There is evidence to suggest that American parents prefer girl babies. At fertility clinics more people request sex-selection for girls over boys.
I think the author might need some new friends. A close buddy of mine recently had his first baby, a girl, and his friends could not have been more thrilled.
