I felt like I was reading from my own diary.
Please do not placate humorless readers. Anyone who can't pick up on sarcasm has no business reading someing called the Broadsheet.
I'm pregnant with my first and last child, it's unplanned. I thought I would sail through life without ever having to raise a teenager. It's going to be worse than even I can anticipate, I just know it.
Damn.
She may be a decent reporter, but Campbell Brown is a terrible interviewer. She constantly interrupts. Her subjects are forced to stammer their way through a thought. If having a kid would contribute to her listening skills, then she needs to get knocked up.
I used to work on Tough Crowd, a show on Comedy Central. It was hosted by Colin Quinn and featured four comedians, discussing current events. Every now and then, some asshole non-comic was booked on the show. One time, that asshole was Christopher Hitchens and he was awful. Pontificating, killing any rhythm, self-aggrandizing and most importantly, NOT FUNNY. On a show featuring comedians, on a network whose name includes the word "comedy," this writer could not come up with one funny line.
If George Carlin said women aren't funny, I'd be interested, but Hitchens is humorless and not credible. Saddam Hussein also probably thinks women aren't funny, where's his Vanity Fair column?
Hello Ann
You are a great writer and mom. I wish you the very best.

23/6 did a post about this story last week:
Abortion: it's not just for the ladies anymore

"In August 2000, the Committee on Government Reform of the US Congress issued a highly critical document called Conflict of Interest in Vaccine Policy Making. Dr. Offit was reprimanded by Congress and his actions were a primary focus of the report."
Lots more here, the guy is a tool for Merck:

"Observe. Test. Repeat ad nauseam. That, in a nutshell, is the scientific method."
As far as I know, we have not observed nor tested ad nauseam for any ill effects of our current aggressive vaccine schedule on some kids. If it's possible that some children cannot handle the recommended amount of vaccines (Hannah Poling, for example), we should figure out a way to excuse those kids from it.
Without discounting the effects of sleep deprivation, I wonder how many of the cars these infants are left in are minivans or SUVs. With darkened windows. I have a tiny, crappy Kia, and I can see every object in it when I lean in to lock the door, including the baby in the "back" seat, which is about 10 inches away from the front seat.
