  • Just a pet peeve

[Read the article: How to marry a Forbes man]

The article was TITLED, not entitled. :)

  • Sometimes, We Need to Look at the Bright Side

[Read the article: Bush to widow: "No point" in talking about the war]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

He was there for 90 minutes, he wanted to listen, he wanted to show his support, he didn't want to go back and forth on the war in the limited time given. We see the back and forth throughout the blogosphere, and I can't say that we have come to even an understanding of each side. Both sides have dug in trenches that stretch further than those during WWI.

Sometimes, we have to see a good in the bad, what Bush did here was welcome. Just wish he did more of this because it does get personal and perhaps he will see the errors and perhaps still, he will try to fix those errors. You can't bring back the dead, but you can minimize the dead in the future via actions--be it a pull out or some other means.

  • I've never made a comment before...

[Read the article: Duke players cleared]

But this one? I couldn't hold back.

I think the integrity of Broadsheet and the posters who support that stance of ignoring responsibility does more to discredit not just this story but many others that are written here.

I am a male, but I care deeply about women's issues. I have a mother, a wife, and two girls. There are genuine, hard, sad and depressing issues that need to be tackled on.

I don't think it's hard to state you are wrong, to admit. I respect people who are wrong and apologize for it than those who are right (supposedly) all the time.

It's true that false accusations happen; worse still, false convictions happen. At the same time, sexual assault is an underreported crime

Two unrelated issues. Yes, sexual assault is an under-reported crime, but that doesn't excuse false accusations.

  • Meh

[Read the article: Female execs dominate in Philippines]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

What's the big deal? I've worked for women for 17 years. One feminist woman who I admire more than anyone in this world is one of the best managers I've ever had a pleasure working with.

Is it because she is a female? Does Ms. Lloyd want to ask this woman that and not get knocked on her ass?

Of course not, it's because she is a terrific leader, very competent in all areas of her department, knows how to use the carrot and the stick and people that know her love her to death as a someone who leads them. She happens to be a woman as well.

I've seen similar managers but they were males.

Like I said, 'meh'. Not sure why gender is a focus here.

  • Frankly...

[Read the article: Math doesn't suck, it buys you Gucci]

I read the Broadsheet for the comments more than the original posts. I especially enjoy women's comments here.

  • The reason we hear more about nincompoops

[Read the article: What's that giant suckling sound?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Is that there are more breast feeding mothers. It's all about numbers. Statistically, you will run across nincompoops more today than you were predisposed to yesterday.

They shall perish soon though. Exposure kills ignorance.

  • I've been bashing Amnesty

[Read the article: Amnesty International supports abortion rights for rape victims]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

for a while now... From their Gulag comparison to other asinine politically driven causes.

But in this case, I have to agree with them. They can have a stance on this on abortion and they do. Vatican can go pound sand.

Actually, the Vatican needs to move up a few hundred years in modernity.
