REALLY fight global warning

[Read more letters about this article: Here]If we REALLY want to fight global warming, we will end subsidies for oil companies that our government taxes US to pay THEM. We will end tariffs on on things like Brazilian ethanol we could be profitably importing, instead of paying four dollars a gallon for milk like we do to pay for all that corn that is going to make ethanol that gets a tax credit that we the consumers pay for. You want to strike a REAL blow against global warming? Elect Dr. Ron Paul as your next president. He will bring our troops home from 135 nations around the world. How much oil will that alone save? He will help rid us of tariffs and unfair trade agreements that benefit only our trading partners and never ourselves. Dr. Paul represents Hope for America! [Read more letters about this article: Here]Take a GOOD look at Huckabee and the FairTax - why is the FairTax studies only evaluate incomes up to $200,000? Because the effective tax rate for billionaires under the FairTax is less than 1%. You can buy things of great value all day long without ever buying a new one. Think mansions, land, yachts, valuable coins, stamps, bullion, stocks and bonds - all of which increase his wealth and none of which is taxed. The things that are NEW that the super rich require will be provided them as perquisites by the businesses they control. Think company car, company house, company jet - all of which use our infrastructure and none of which is paid for by the entity using them. Why should Walmart pay for roads and bridges when they can get you to pay for free? This is another attempt by the liberal media to face ANYONE but Dr. Ron Paul. Much as we'd like politics to be positive, it is in fact ruled almost entirely by negatives. For instance, what's the biggest negative the Republican Party is facing in 2008? Iraq - a staggering 70% of people favor IMMEDIATE withdrawl from Iraq. Who is the only candidate that doesn't have that negative? Dr. Paul, who advocates using those trillions of dollars to secure our border (perhaps against Saudis who were 20 of the 24 terrorists in 9/11) and rebuild our crumbling infrastructure which is far more worrying than the loss of Social Security. Hm, full employment, withdrawl from Iraq and a huge boost to our economy from rebuilding our infrastructure - what Democrat wants to run against that. Hence the behavior of known liberal biased network CNN, who wants us to nominate either Guiliani or Romney - both of whose negatives are so high the copy practically writes itself!

[Read more letters about this article: Here]Well, let's face it. Religion gives an easy-to-use tag to identify our enemies. Mr. Politician professes his love for Mr. Godbotherer and in return, Mr. Godbotherer names Mr. Politician's enemies as the church's enemies. You ever look at a nice big church and wonder how many college educations it took to build those walls? How many people condemned THEIR OWN CHILDREN to a life of bondage to make sure Mr. Godbotherer got a house with a REALLY NICE VIEW? And no, my parents paid for part of my education so I've no personal axe to grind. That's why I find it refreshing to find a politician that will name his religious affiliation and then MAKE NO FURTHER MENTION OF IT.
Thank GOD there is a candidate available who uses REASON and the Constitution as his ideals in voting for and in crafting legislation. You don't really have to ask anymore who it is, do you? It's only the media saying he can't win that keeps you from going to his website NOW. Well, we won't quit. And when we go to church, it'll be for our SOULS and not to find out who we'll BEE voting for. You're going to end up voting for him - why not be the discoverer instead of the follower?
