Where is the evidence for this? -- Mike Sulzer

Mike,

Are you just being an ass and looking for things to argue about when you see my name? Seems like it.

As to evidence: we have a very unpopular war, we have an economy in the tank, and all polling shows the Republican president to be very, very unpopular.

This, my antagonistic friend, is evidence that the Dem should win by a landslide as long as the field is a level playing field.

And No! Before you say it, I realize that the field may not be level and that was the whole point of my comment. Glenn has written post after post showing the MSM to be on the right-wingers side.

a liar continues

It took you forty six minutes from complaining about a certain behavior to engaging in that very same behavior yourself. -- Aycharaych

Nope. You can not imagine things in your own little world and then claim I did a thing. You started today wanting a fight because I stepped on your sorry little faith-based toes. Too bad.

You are a liar. You pretend to have a complaint while in reality you just want to bitch, moan, and whine. Your perception of events is not the same thing as the reality of events. No one ever tell you that?

Go for it. Whine on. Make every thread about you and your little feelings. I am sure all here will love you for it.

I think that's what you meant. -- Kitt

Yes Kitt, that was my point.

I am saying that this year we should win by historic totals if there was any rationality to the voting public. (and all votes counted!)

Mike is bringing a very aggressive mis-reading to every post I make for his own personal reasons. That is his right.

more from liar

How you manage to get me telling a lie simply from quoting your own words I have no clue. -- Aycharaych

Why because you started a shitstorm simply because your little feeling were hurt due to me making light of your faith. Now you spin crap and pretend you have a point. Classic liar stuff.

As we say in the south, you are trash.

(or at least acting like it today)

What the election should be about ...

I hope that Democrats can keep their eye on the ball, but recent election cycles are not giving me the kind of hope I want to have. What is important? I mean god damn important. I mean the future of the country important.

1) We face the biggest debt threat to the country's existence ever. This has the potential to be Wiemar Republic bad. The Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae bailout is the largest in human history. It is happening on a Republican's watch. This is just one small part of the woes our economy faces --- and the American has always voted his pocketbook in the past. Real wages (adjusted for inflation) are going down fast. The American family is hurting and they can feel it in their checkbook.

2) We are at war with the whole god damn world. The people are weary of war and headlines of American's killing poor civilians all over the middle east. They do not get as much coverage here as abroad, but the people still see the results in spite of Fake-Fox News.

3) We have more people in jail than any other country by far, and yet the level of "crime in the streets" keeps increasing. Bad cops keep being uncovered. Trust in local institutions is lowered (had a poll, but I lost the damn link).

4) Civil rights are under assault as never before in the history of the country. Just what the administration admits should be enough to defeat the Republicans.

With the four items above; how can the Democrats not wipe the Republican Party off the political map? We should have an opportunity to win like has not happened since Nixon left in disgrace. Perhaps even a better opportunity than after Nixon even; after all, he had a decent economy going at the time compared to now and the dollar was strong.

How can we lose if we hammer the above failings of the Republicans? Can the press beat us?

Have you read my post on the latter subject? ...

... "It was partially written in response to an earlier post of yours on one aspect of it, voter list purging of people such as those guilty of voting while black. -- Associative Individualist

Yes. Dark and disturbing it was.

I realize that voting irregularities will aid the Republicans as long as they control (in many diverse ways) the counting of votes. "It's not the vote that counts, it's who Counts the votes", and all that.

I am aware that this whole thing could go south, but if it does --- then the Democrats are toast and the Republic is over. I mean, if not now --- when?

If we could make the points I outlined and stay away from silly side issues (they may matter but the election is crucial) then perhaps the Republic could be cleansed of these filthy buggers.

If Obama is up 7 or 8 points in the polls and then the vote count gives McCrazy the election by 2 points or so then I think a revolution would occur because the theft is too open in that case. It is the close election that is easily stolen.

I think it will mainly be the press that is the problem. If we can get the points I mentioned out and blame the Republicans for the items that they so richly deserve blame, then the election should not be close at all.

Wait! OMG. Do you think even the polling is rigged?

But the Dems can't do that, they have the corporate overlords to please. -- Aycharaych

At the end of the day, do we have Democrats who care for the country itself over personal gain/power? If not, it looks like we are in deep do.
